Brown University– Emma Watson
Emma Watson graduated from the university with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She is a famous English actress and model. She wanted to be an actress since childhood. Her acting, singing and dancing skills are a result of her training at the ‘Stagecoach Theatre Arts’. It is through her theatre teacher that the casting agents found her for the first film of her career ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ which was received greatly at the box office. It was this franchise that earned her the appreciation of the critics and love of the public. Emma has also earned her certification to teach meditation and yoga. She started her modelling career with ‘Teen Vogue’, making her the youngest person to feature on its cover.
Columbia University– Warren Buffett
Warren Buffett is a business tycoon, American investor and the CEO and chairman of ‘Berkshire Hathaway’. He was interested in business and investing since childhood. His inspiration was the book ‘One Thousand Ways to Make $1000’ by Frances Minaker. He was rejected by the Harvard Business School. So, upon learning that Benjamin Graham- the father of value investing taught there, Buffet pursued Master of Science in Economics from the university. He started as an investment salesman at Buffett-Falk & Co and worked there from 1951 to 1954. Forbes ranked Buffett as the richest person in the world in 2008, with a net worth of about $62 billion.
Cornell University– Ratan Tata
Ratan Tata is a philanthropist and industrialist of India. He was the chairman of the Tata Group from 1990 to 2012. During this period, profit grew over fifty percent. He pursued a degree in Architecture at the university. Ratan was behind the concept of the Tata Nano car. The trust of the TATA group allows the Cornell University to provide financial assistance to the students of India for the undergraduate programs. After the donation for an executive center at the Harvard Business School, the center has been names as ‘TATA hall’. Interestingly, Ratan Tata also pursued a management program at the university in 1975.
Dartmouth College– Daniel Webster
Webster was an American statesman and lawyer. He was among the most significant lawyers in the 19th century America. He also served as the U.S. Secretary of State. He is also considered as a remarkable politician, orator and attorney. His ‘Second Reply to Hayne’ is considered as one of the greatest speeches delivered in the Congress. He won the United States Senate election and helped Henry Clay build the National Republican Party. HE convinced people to become nationalists like he himself was. Webster supported free trade, opposing the expansion of slavery and Abolitionism.
Harvard University– Mark Zuckerberg
Mark zuckerberg is an entrepreneur, media tycoon and a philanthropist. He became the youngest self-made entrepreneur in the world at the age of 23. He started his classes at the Harvard University in 2002, but had already earned his reputation of a programming prodigy before that. He is famous for co-founding the social networking site, Facebook. He launched the service from his dormitory room at Harvard in 2004. He is the fourth richest person of the world as of September 2020. Time magazine had mentioned him in the 100 most influential and richest people. He has also co-founded Breakthrough Starshot, a solar sail spacecraft development project.
University of Pennsylvania– Elon Musk
Elon Musk is a business tycoon, industrial designer and an engineer. He is the founder and CEO of SpaceX. He also serves as SpaceX’s CTO and chief designer along with the CEO and the product architect of Tesla Inc. His name has appeared in the Forbes 2019’s list of ‘Most Innovative Leaders’ and in 2018’s ‘World’s Most Powerful People’. He is the fifth richest person in the world as of September 2020. He studied economics and physics at the University. He also enrolled to a PhD.D. program at Stanford but dropped out of it to launch an internet startup himself. He is one of the most successful alumni of IVY League colleges.
Princeton University– Jeff Bezos
Jeff Bezos is an American industrialist, investor and entrepreneur. He is famous for founding the multi-national company, Amazon. He is the only person in history to have a net worth of over $200 billion. He also serves as the CEO and president of Amazon. He graduated from the university with a degree in computer science and electrical engineering. He decided to create an online bookstore in 1993. He then left his job and founded Amazon. He had initially named the website ‘Cadabra’ but named it after the Amazon River. He then diversified Amazon for the sale of online video and music in 1998 and launched ‘Amazon Web Services’ in 2002. Bezos launched ‘Amazon Kindle’ in 2007.
Yale University– Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep is an American actress. Her debut film was ‘Trelawny of the Wells’. She has also received Doctor of Arts degree from the Dartmouth College. She has won and had been nominated for various awards.
