Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Ananthpur, conducts the state level entrance exam AP ECET 2022 on the behalf of APSCHE, for Diploma holders of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and B.Sc Graduates. It is held for lateral entry admission (in second-year degree programs) in B.Tech, B.E, and B.Pharmacy Courses.

AP ECET 2022: Jawaharlal Nehru Technology, Kakinada has released AP ECET Application Form 2022. Candidates can fill out AP ECET application form from the official website. Candidates must check AP ECET 2022 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. The application process for AP ECET 2022 comprises payment of fees, filling out the application form, and uploading documents. The last date to fill out AP ECET Application Form 2022 is June 3, 2022, without any late fee.
As per AP ECET 2022 Exam pattern, the exam for all three streams (Engg., Pharm. and B.Sc. Maths) will be carried out in a computer-based mode. Each paper will have objective-type questions in English only. The duration of all the papers will be 3 hours each. The syllabus for every examination will be different as per the requirement of subjects for particular courses. AP ECET syllabus for every offered program will be consist of various relevant topics from the diploma level.
Registration
AP ECET 2022 Application forms are available for filling at the official portal of AP ECET i.e. https:sche.ap.gov.in/ecet/. For better viewing and smooth application submission, candidates must use the following system requirements:
- Browsers: Google Chrome / Mozilla Firefox 3.6 and above /Internet Explorer 6.0 and above
- Screen Resolution: 600x800
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 and above
- Disable the pop-up blocks and uninstall all the script blockers

Engineering Stream
The syllabus for Diploma Holders in Engineering for the state level examination is given below. The engineering aspirants must take note that Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are common subjects in AP ECET exam.
Physics: Unit & Dimension, Dimensional Analysis, Elements of Vectors, Kinematics & Friction, Work, Power & energy, Simple Harmonic Motion and Acoustic, Heat & Thermodynamics, Modern Physics, Newtons Laws of Motion, Scalars, Vectors, Errors, Significant figures, Sound Waves, Physical world, measurements.
Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Solutions, Acids & Bases, Electrochemistry, Corrosion, Polymers, Fuels, Environmental Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes, SN1 and SN2 Reactions, Aromatic Compounds, Catalysts.
Mathematics Syllabus
Matrices, Partial Fraction, Trigonometry, Complex Numbers, Analytical Geometry, Differentiation & its application, Integration & its application, Differentiation, Integration, Differential Calculus, Sets, Relations and Mapping, Statistics, Inverse Trigonometry, Distance Formula, Section Formula, Probability, Integration by parts, substitution and partial fraction, Properties of triangles, Mean, Variance and Standard Deviation, Maxima, Minima, Bayes’ Theorem, Tangents and Normal, Scalar Triple Products.
Eligibility Criteria
AP ECET 2022 eligibility criteria vary for different courses. A brief about the same are listed below:
- Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh. Also, they should satisfy the local status/non-local status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational and Technology Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
- Candidates should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy from the state board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh state or any other Diploma from AICTE approved institutions recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant course.
Or
- They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
- Students pursuing their diploma course (final semester) are also eligible to appear for AP ECET 2022.
- Candidates must have passed the Diploma in Engineering and Technology/Pharmacy/B.Sc. degree with an aggregate of at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates).
Counselling
Based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the AP ECET 2022, a Rank List will be prepared. Candidates scoring higher marks will be placed higher in the merit list whereas those scoring lower marks will hover at the bottom.
Candidates who will feature in the merit list will be called for the document verification process. After the document verification candidates will be allowed to take part in the registration and choice locking process.
Counseling process for AP ECET 2022 will start in the 4th week of May 2022. Counseling will be done on the basis of the candidate’s performance in AP ECET 2022 merit list.
In case of a tie among two or more candidates (in regards to merit list) following methodology will be followed.
- One with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher.
- In case of a tie still persists then Marks of Physics and Chemistry will be compared.
- In case the tie is not resolved then in who is elder will be placed higher.
- To settle the case if the tie persists even after considering the above 3 parameters candidates will be awarded equal ranking.
