The full form of BARC is Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. It conducts BARC Exam every year for filling up the posts of Trainee Scientific Officers (OCES/DGFS). The BARC Exam is conducted after the GATE exam every year in multiple shifts according to the field of study. Hundreds of Students prepare for GATE in order to secure a job in PSU or Central Governments. BARC Exam provides one such opportunity to the desirous candidates.
After Qualifying BARC Exam candidates are called for a Personal Interview. Marks scored in BARC Exam and Personal Interview becomes the sole criteria for selection of candidates in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre for the post of Trainee Scientific Officers.
Finally selected candidates will have to undergo training of 1 year at BARC Training School as Trainee Scientific Officers. After successfully completing the training, candidates are inducted as Scientific Officers in one of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board or DAE units.
Candidates willing to apply for the post of Scientific officer via BARC should follow the following steps in order to successfully apply for the BARC Exam. Candidates should only apply via online mode.
Step 1: candidates should fill out an online application form by visiting the official website - www.barconlineexam.in.
Step 2: Click on apply online and register by providing essential information such as Name, Date of Birth, Mother’s Name, e-mail id. Candidates should take precautions of filling in the details at this stage as the details can not be modified later.
Step 3: After successfully registering candidates will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number and email id. Candidates will have to activate their accounts by entering this OTP.
Step 4: Candidates will have to further fill up the application by logging in on Candidate’s Login.
Step 5: Upload a recent passport-sized photograph (4.5cmx3.5cm) in JPG format (of size less than 50 kb) and a scanned copy of signature (2cmx4.5cm, in JPG format with size less than 20 kb).
Step 6: After completing the application form and uploading the photograph and signature candidates need to pay the application fee via online mode using net banking/debit card/credit card.
Step 7: Candidates need to submit the application finally after paying the fees. If a candidate wishes to modify the application, he/she can do so before submitting the Final Application.
Step 8: Candidates willing to apply via GATE will be required to fill in the GATE details after the declaration of GATE results.
Step 9: Save a soft copy of the application form along with the fee payment receipt for future references.
