Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited will soon release the notification for the GSECL Junior Programmer posts. There will be around 10 posts for this year’s GSECL Junior Programmer Recruitment. The candidate must have obtained a full-time B.E. /B. Tech degree in either of these branches – Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, or a full-time MCA. The upper age limit is set to 35 years for all categories as of 25 August 2022, except for EWS and reserved candidates. The candidates will be selected through an online exam conducted by GSECL.
Latest Notification
Candidates can expect the release of official notification at the end of August or the starting of September 2022 for the posts of GSECL Junior Programmer. Aspirants must download the notification from the official website to stay aware of all the information, such as eligibility criteria, syllabus, exam pattern, exam dates, and the number of vacancies.
Registration
Here we are going to mention the step-wise process to apply online for this exam. Given below are the detailed steps which the candidates can follow to apply for the post.
- Visit the official website of GSECL.
- Register on the GSECL portal with a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Keep the login credentials safe for future use.
- Log in to the portal with your credentials.
- Click on new registration and fill in all the GSECL Junior Programmer exam form details.
- Check the details thoroughly and upload your documents, such as photograph, signature, and scanned copies of mark sheets.
- Proceed to pay the fees via online gateways.
- Submit the form and download the form for future references.

Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants must satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the GSECL for the Junior Programmer exam. If the candidates do not meet these eligibility criteria, they may be disqualified at a later exam stage. The detailed eligibility criteria are given below:
GSECL Junior Programmer Educational Qualifications 2022
- The candidate must have obtained a full-time B.E. /B. Tech degree in either of these branches – Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- Candidate must have a full-time MCA degree of 3 years course with 55% without ATKT in the last year/last two years semesters obtained from a recognized university. The candidate must know Gujarati to be eligible for the GSECL exam.
- The candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years relevant industrial experience in the design and development of commercial applications using PHP /MySQL /ORACLE /MS-SQL along with relevant experience of software /application development in large or medium scale industries or organizations.
- A minimum of 85% preference will be for locals of Gujarat. The candidate must produce the Domicile Certificate if they claim an appointment under this 85% quota.
GSECL Junior Programmer Age Limit 2022
The upper age limit is set to 35 years for all categories as of 25 August 2022, except for EWS and reserved candidates. Their age limit is 40 years. Candidates also get the age relaxation as given in the table below:

GSECL Junior Programmer Documents Required 2022
Candidates must submit the following documents for verification after qualifying for the written test. The list of documents is given below:
- All Mark-sheets of B.E. /B.Tech. /M.C.A.
- Certificate mentioning percentage marks obtained in case of grading system from the Institute/University.
- Degree Certificate
- Experience certificate
- Caste (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) Certificate issued by Gujarat State Authority.
- Latest Non Creamy Layer Certificate issued in Gujarati for SEBC candidates and latest Income and Assets Certificate for EWS candidates.
- Valid Certificate of Civil Surgeon required showing % of Disability in case of PWD Candidates
- Necessary certificate in case of Ex. Armed Force Personnel.
- Widow applicants have to submit a death certificate of the husband and an undertaking to the effect that the applicant has not remarried
- NOC from the present employer, If applicable.
- Domicile certificate for candidate belongs to Gujarat State.
- Identification Proof (Voter ID/Pan Card/Aadhar Card/Driving License etc.)
- Residential Address Proof (Electricity Bill/Telephone Bill/Ration Card etc.)
- Any other such Certificates/documents if applicable.
Application Fee
Candidates can pay the fee online via credit or debit card, or net banking. Candidates have to pay the fees online only. There is no offline mode to pay the fees. The following are the exam fees that the candidates need to pay for the GSECL Junior Programmer form.
- General/SEBC/EWS- Rs. 500
- ST/SC/PWD- Rs. 250
Exam Pattern
Candidates must know the exam pattern to score more during the Junior Programmer exam. The exam consists of 100 objective-type questions, which carry one mark each. The language of the paper will be English. There is a negative marking in the exam. ¼ of the marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. There is no marking for the leftover answers. The GSECL Junior Programmer exam pattern is given below in the table.
