About
IMU CET is conducted by Indian Maritime University for admission to UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses such as B. Tech, B. Sc, except BBA, M. Tech, M. Sc, and MBA with various specializations. IMU CET 2022 is conducted once a year across 36 cities in India.
Latest Notification
IMU CET 2022 Exam Date has been revised by Indian Maritime University. As per the revised schedule, IMU CET 2022 will be conducted on June 11, 2022, in online mode for various PG and UG courses. IMU CET 2022 Application Form is available on the official website imu.edu.in. The last date to fill out the application form is extended till May 26, 2022. Whereas the last date to fill BBA applications was June 22, 2022.
As per IMU CET 2022 Exam Pattern, the paper will be 120 marks. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 1 mark and there is no negative marking. IMU CET 2022 tests candidates aspiring for B.Tech and M.Tech programs for their knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, GK, and aptitude.
Registration
- Candidates who aspire to appear in the IMU CET 2022 exam must apply online.
- Only the online mode of application was available and offline applications would not be entertained.
- While making an application online candidates must keep their academic certificates/mark sheets with them for reference purposes.
Candidates can fill application form by following the steps mentioned below.
- Visit the official website of the IMU.
- Click on the link IMU CET 2022 application.
- Fill in your academic and demographic details along with your preference for the exam center.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are willing to take admissions through IMU CET 2022 must ensure that they qualify all the eligibility criteria as mentioned in the official notification of IMU otherwise their candidature would be canceled by the conducting authority at any stage of examination/admission. The detailed eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
- Candidates applying for engineering (lateral also)/B.Sc/Diploma/ courses must have studied and passed an examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at plus two levels with a minimum 60% in aggregate. They would also be required to score a minimum of 50% marks in English at plus two levels.
- The candidate must have applied for a passport before taking admission through CET.
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years and the Maximum age should not exceed 25 years.
- Candidates applying in marine courses would be required to produce the medical fitness certified by Doctors approved by the Director General of Shipping.
Counselling
Indian Maritime University will conduct the IMU CET counselling in online mode for seat allotment to various courses offered by its six campuses. The registration process for participation in online counselling will be available at the official website. Candidates can check their eligibility for IMU CET 2022 online counselling by consulting the rank lists published by exam authorities.
The IMU CET counselling process included steps like seat allotment and document verification. During document verification, the candidate will have to submit originals of all relevant documents, including mark sheet and certificates. Only those candidates who successfully complete the document verification will be considered for admission.
Candidates who are allotted a seat in each of these rounds will have to pay the programme fee within the given deadline to confirm their seats. The first admission list has already been released on the official website.
- Counselling registration fee: Short-listed candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 10,000 to participate in online counselling.
- Admission fee: Any candidate who is allotted a seat in any of the seat allotment rounds will have to pay a non-refundable sum of Rs. 25,000 towards programme fee as per the given schedule.

- Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions are tested for their proficiency in Quantitative, Verbal, Data interpretation, and logical reasoning abilities.
