The JKSET is conducted every year by the University of Kashmir for all the candidates interested to work as assistant professors and Junior research fellows within the various institutes and schools of the state, namely Jammu and Kashmir.
The State Eligibility Test or SET is based on the pattern of the National Eligibility Test (NET), which is conducted by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and UGC/CSIR for Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences subjects respectively. Being a state-level test, SET is conducted in both the languages English and vernacular.
The formal announcement regarding the exam dates and application form for Jammu & Kashmir State Eligibility Test 2022 is yet to be published on the official website of the University of Kashmir. The application for the same will be released soon along with the exam schedule.

The syllabus of exams varies from subject to subject as there are a total of 37 subjects. So, candidates are requested to check the in-detail syllabus on the official website itself.

Before proceeding to the JKSET Application form for the year 2022, all the candidates are requested to go through the eligibility criteria for JKSET 2022 specified by the conducting body (University of Kashmir) itself, in order to avoid any further issues.
The first and foremost thing is that the candidates do not need to be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir. Applicants from any state can apply for the JKSET 2022.
Note: There are no such upper age limit criteria specified by the authorities for the JKSET 2022.
The application would be considered incomplete & will not be accepted by the authorities until the application fee is paid. Remember the application fee is non-refundable. Payment needs to be made online using a Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.
If the candidate exceeds the JKSET Application fee date, extra charges would be there for the late submission of the application. Category wise Fee Distribution is mentioned in the table below:
