The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an ongoing National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research careers in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

The objectives of the KVPY program are mentioned below:

Encourage students so that they can understand their academic potential.
Develop students' skills so that they take up their careers in research and development.

Latest Notification

The notification for the KVPY 2022 has not been released yet. The candidates must go through the notification to understand the important details about the exam, its selection procedure, exam pattern and the fellowship criteria.

Registration

The KVPY 2022 application form will be released in the last week of July 2022. Candidates can apply to this course in both offline and online modes. Below mentioned is the step by step process for filling out the KVPY application form.

KVPY Offline Application Process

Download the application form from the official website of the college's official website and then take a printout of the same.
After filling out the KVPY application form, the candidates are required to send the form to the college address.

KVPY Steps Online Application Process

Visit the official website of KVPY.
Go to the Online Admission Portal.
Click on the Admission tab.
Click the registration tab on the Admission page. Register by entering some personal details like mobile, email id, etc. The login id and password will get generated after this.
Now, Fill out the application form online carefully.
Verify the details and submit the form online.

Eligibility Criteria

The students must check the eligibility criteria for KVPY before applying as it is very crucial. The candidate must be an Indian citizen to apply for the KVPY exam 2022. The KVPY Eligibility Criteria for the various streams are tabulated below:

KVPY Admit Card
KVPY released admit cards for all the students who have registered through online mode only. Students can download the admit card by using their login credentials. It is mandatory that students must carry their KVPY admit card to the exam centre to give the exam. Students are required to download the admit card from the official website and can save it for later use.

How to Download the KVPY Admit card?
Follow the below-mentioned steps to download the KVPY admit card from the website.

Visit the official website of KVPY.
Login with username and password.
Click on the ‘Admit card’ tab.
The KVPY admit card will appear on the screen.
Download the same and take a printout of the same for future references.

Exam Pattern

The candidate appearing for the KVPY exam must check the exam pattern to understand the exam. The KVPY exam pattern is elaborated in detail below:

The KVPY exam will be conducted in an online (Computer Based Test) mode.
The medium of the KVPY exam will be both English and Hindi.
There are multiple-choice questions in the exam. All the questions are compulsory in the SA stream. There is an option to attempt any three sections in Part I and any two sections in Part II in Stream SB/SX.
The duration of the KVPY Exam is three hours.
The KVPY Exam paper will contain two sections- Part I and Part II, having four sections each.
The KVPY SA exam carries 100 marks while the KVPY SX/SB exam carries 160 marks.
In Part I, one mark will be awarded for each correct response and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
In Part II of Stream SA and Stream SB/SX, two marks will be given for each correct response and 0.5 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

Result

The KVPY Result is published on its official website and is available in PDF format. The KVPY merit list consists of the roll number, application number, name, and rank of candidates who have qualified for KVPY. there is no procedure for the re-evaluation of the KVPY result under any circumstances.

How to Check KVPY Result 2022?

Visit the official website of KVPY.
Enter the Application Number and Date of Birth.
The date of birth should be given in the format of DD-MM-YYYY.
Click on the ‘Continue’ button.
The KVPY result will be displayed on the screen.
Take a printout of the same for future references.
