Railway Recruitment Board, Assistant Station Master is an NTPC post i.e., Non-Technical Popular Category post. The recruitment to this post happens through an exam called the RRB NTPC Exam which is common for all NTPC posts.

Latest Notification

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) of Examination is expected to release the RRB ASM notification in August in the respective year of the examination. The official notification of the RRB ASM 2022 is expected to be released soon on the official website.

The RRB ASM notification is an important document that makes candidates aware of the examination process and the registration process. The notification carries important information regarding the RRB ASM Exam including exam dates, exam pattern, syllabus, and exam day guidelines.

Registration

All the candidates are advised to apply for the exam only after checking the eligibility criteria. Candidates must fill and submit the RRB ASM application form via online mode to appear in the exam. RRB ASM will not accept other modes of application submission. Candidates can follow the following steps to fill the application form for the RRB ASM exam.

Step 1: One Time Registration Process

Firstly, candidates have to register themselves on the official website of the exam:

Visit the Official Website.
Look for the notification displaying ‘Click here to apply for ASM 2022’ and click on it.
Click the ‘New Registration’ tab (if you don’t have an account).
Fill in all the necessary details in the registration form like Name, Contact number, Email Id, etc.
Click on Submit.
Keep a note of the system-generated registration ID and Password.

Step 2: Filling the Online Application Form

Login to your account with the details you noted in the above step.
Fill in all the required necessary information in the application and candidates need to upload the scanned images of their signature and a passport-sized photograph.
Check the filled details and proceed to payment.
Candidates can pay their application fee either online using a debit/credit card /net banking facility or can pay offline by submitting cash and a system-generated e-challan in any SBI branch or any post office before the last date.
Now click on final submit and save your application.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for RRB ASM to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria have two components:

RRB ASM Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit

Minimum Age: The applicant must be at least 18 years old as of 1st July 2022
Maximum Age: The applicant must not be more than 32 years old as of 1st July 2022.

The age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to special categories for maximum age limit such as SC/ST, ex-servicemen, OBC, PwDs, etc as mentioned below:

RRB ASM Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualifications

Candidates who are willing to apply for RRB ASM 2022 recruitment should have a completed graduation degree in any discipline from any recognized central/state-based university/institution.

Final year Graduation students waiting for the results of the final examination will not be able to apply.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay the application fee to finally submit their application form. The application fee for candidates of different categories is mentioned below:

Exam Pattern

RRB ASM will conduct a common exam for all the NTPC based posts. The exam pattern 2022 will consist of a computer-based examination that shall be conducted in the online mode for all the posts.

The CBT is a common exam for all the posts of ASM vacant in all the RRB(s). The exam includes questions from topics such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, and General Intelligence and Reasoning.
