The Territorial Army of India conducts the Territorial Army Recruitment 2022 for the candidates who wish to serve the nation by being a part of the Territorial Army. Territorial army officers are not offered full-time employment as they are required to serve for two to three months every year when they are called. The full form of TA is Territorial Army.
Territorial Army notification for the post of Officer is to be released on the website – joiniterritorialarmy.gov.in. It is expected that a total of 13 vacancies are to be filled out through this recruitment drive.
TA (Territorial Army) is the secondary-defence force of the country after the official regular army. The Territorial Army comprises the soldiers that serve for a few months annually and does not work on a full-time basis. The candidates recruited in the Territorial Army offer part-time commitment towards serving the nation and does not guarantee full-time career option/employment source for the candidates.

The candidates are advised to check the Territorial Army Eligibility Criteria before applying for the recruitment process. Following are the eligibility criteria of the Territorial Army, in brief, the applying candidate must check the detailed one before submitting the forms.
Citizenship: The candidate should be a citizen of India.
Age Limit: The candidate should be of an age between 19 and 42 years, on the date of application.
Educational Qualification: The candidate should at least have done graduation or its equivalent.
Bodily Strength: The candidate should be both physically and mentally healthy.
Employment Status:
The people who are currently serving in the Regular Army, Navy force, Air Force, Police, GREF (General Reserve Engineer Force), Para Military, and other such forces are not allowed to apply for TA.
(a) 5% reservation has been provided to widows of defence personnel for short service Commission Women (Technical and Non-technical), out of this 2.5% of the notified vacancy is reserved for SSC (Non-Technical) and the remaining 2.5 % for SSCW (Tech). The application for SSCW (NT) is directly routed through Recruiting Directorate and the candidate need not appear for CDSE.
(b) 4 Yrs of relaxation in upper age have been granted to the widows of defence personnel for SSCW (Tech & Non-Tech).
(c) Widows of Defence personnel, with/without children, can apply. For others, only unmarried women candidates are eligible to apply.
(d) 10% vacancies have been earmarked for wards of battle casualties, out of fixed vacancies of NCC entry. Mandatory eligibility criteria of the NCC 'C' certificate have been dispensed with.
This Territorial Army examination is conducted in two stages. The written examination is conducted for the civilians only while for ex-servicemen, only the interview takes place.
