The full form of WB SET is West Bengal State Eligibility Test. The WB SET is conducted by West Bengal College Service Commission (WBCSC) to select candidates for Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges of West Bengal.
There are 2 papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Paper 1 is common for all candidates. However, Paper 2 is conducted for 33 subjects. Aspirants must obtain minimum qualifying marks in both the papers of SET in aggregate to become eligible for the Assistant Professor post. Candidates who qualify for the exam will be governed by the rules and regulations for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in the state.
WB SET Notification for the various ground duty posts will be issued between April to September this year. It is expected that the application process will commence from July onwards, and the last date to submit the WB SET application form for 2022 was extended till September.
