KVPY Syllabus

KVPY stands for “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana“. It is a scholarship program funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, aimed at encouraging students to pursue a career in science and research. The program is open to students from class 11th to 1st year of undergraduate courses in science, engineering and medicine.   3. Chemistry: Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: Gases and Liquids, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals), Some p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry – Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry.
  4. Biology: Diversity in Living World, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Human Physiology, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology, Ecology.
