MAT 2023

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) for admission to various management programs offered by participating institutes across India. The exam is conducted four times a year in February, May, September, and December.

The MAT exam measures the aptitude of candidates in various areas such as Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment. How to fill MAT Application Form

  4. Upload a scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format and size.
  5. Choose the exam mode (paper-based or computer-based) and test center preference.
  6. Pay the application fee online through net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
  7. Check all the details filled in the application form and submit it.

After submission of the application form, candidates will receive an email with the registration number and password. It is advised to take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

The application fee for MAT exam varies depending on the number of exams opted for (either paper-based or computer-based). The fee can be paid online through the official website of AIMA MAT.

 

Syllabus MAT

The MAT exam syllabus covers five sections:

  1. Language Comprehension: This section tests the candidate’s understanding of English language, grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Topics covered include sentence completion, antonyms/synonyms, reading comprehension passages, and para jumbles.
  2. Mathematical Skills: This section tests the candidate’s mathematical ability and problem-solving skills. Topics covered include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, trigonometry, and modern mathematics.
  3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency: This section tests the candidate’s ability to interpret and analyze data. Topics covered include graphs, charts, tables, data sufficiency, and data comparison.
  4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: This section tests the candidate’s logical reasoning and analytical ability. Topics covered include statement-assumption, statement-conclusion, course of action, cause and effect, and analogies.
  5. Indian and Global Environment: This section tests the candidate’s general awareness of current affairs and environmental issues. Topics covered include current affairs, politics, economics, science, and technology, among others.

The MAT exam does not have a fixed syllabus, but the above topics are typically covered in the exam. It is advisable for candidates to refer to previous year question papers and mock tests to get an idea of the type of questions asked in the exam.

 

Exam pattern MAT

MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is a standardized test conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) four times a year – in February, May, September, and December. The exam pattern for MAT is as follows:

  7. Eligibility: Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institution are eligible to appear for the exam.
  8. Score Acceptance: MAT scores are accepted by over 600 B-Schools across India for admission to MBA and other management programs.

Eligibility Criteria For MAT Exam
