Basic information about the Institute
The Indian Institute of Management LUCKNOW is fourth in the prestigious IIM family of management schools to be established in India after IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. The establishment of IIMs was envisioned and initiated by the first Prime Minister of India – PANDIT Jawaharlal Nehru. The Institute was established in the year 1984. Since then IIML has touched million lives directly or indirectly through its faculty, alumni and support staff. IIML moulds its students into value driven leaders, managers and global players. This institute undertakes a diverse range of academic activities aimed at creation, dissemination and application of management knowledge and practice. In 2005, IIM LUCKNOW expanded its area of influence in the realm of management education by becoming the first IIM to set up a satellite campus exclusively for Executive Education at NOIDA in Delhi NCR region.

INDIAN Institute of management’s NIRF ranking is 4th and world ranking is given as, the financial Times had ranked IIM Ahmedabad 21 in its Masters in Management ranking 2019 and 47 in its global MBA ranking 2019. The QS global 250 MBA rankings 2020 ranked it 40 in the world and 6th in Asia.

PGP (post graduate program)

this is the credo of the Post Graduate Program (PGP) at IIM LUCKNOW.
The Post Graduate Program is designed to develop professional managers with strong conceptual fundamentals and skills required to manage businesses of the future, while giving them the vision to determine what the future will be.
This program is a two year, full time, residential program. The students meeting the program requirements are awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management.
PGP- AMB (post graduate program in agribusiness management)
The two-year Post Graduate Program in Agribusiness Management is a full -time residential course designed to of develop agribusiness leaders, entrepreneurs with vision, competence and appropriate attitude for promoting/ growing agribusiness and agro-based enterprises with a strong international orientation.
The Post Graduate Program is designed to develop professional managers with strong conceptual fundamentals and skills required to manage businesses of the future, while giving them the vision to determine what the future will be.
PGP-SM (post graduate program in sustainable management)
It is Post Graduate Program in Sustainable Management stresses upon the information that businesses are embedded in society and cannot be separated from it, and therefore aims to develop management professionals with a holistic perspective on economic, social and environmental issues. In addition to offering general management courses, PGPSM’s curriculum stands out in management education by means of offering specialized courses on systems thinking, social entrepreneurship, externalities, life cycle management, stakeholder management and public policy.
PGP For Executives
PGPWE (post graduate program in management for working executives) before it was known as Working Managers Program (WMP). The PGPWE is a uniquely designed program for working executives, entrepreneurs and professionals, who desire to enhance their managerial knowledge and skills through formal management education while continuing to work full time in their running professions/businesses.
IPMX
This program is not offered in the same university but the institute offers International Program in Management for Executives or IPMX (One-year MBA) at its NOIDA Campus. This is a one-year residential program designed for mid/ senior level professionals to prepare them for leadership roles. The program was started in the year 2008 and is accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA). A valid GMAT score is a prerequisite for applying to this program.

FPM (fellow program in management)
The university Launched in 2000-01, the Fellow Program in Management (FPM) is a doctoral level program of the Indian Institute of Management LUCKNOW. EFPM (executive fellow program in management)

This is a doctoral program and primarily aims at preparing students for career in management research, teaching and consulting.
