Training & Internships
CMR Life Skills Institute (CMRLSI), is the training arm of the CMR Group of Institutions (CMRGI), a conglomerate comprising of over 20 schools and colleges, 20,000 students and over 2500 teaching and non-teaching staff. CMRLSI offers life skills training to students, teaching, non-teaching staff and others who are actively involved in contributing to the growth and success of the institutions in the group.
The institute has a thought provoking tag line “Transcending Boundaries of Formal Education”©, which clearly underscores the fact that every individual irrespective of their role in society needs certain essential skills beyond their domain knowledge, in order to be successful in whichever walk of life they choose to excel in.
CMRLSI endeavors to satisfy this need through training, behavioral coaching and mentoring. The objective is to touch as many lives as possible, providing enduring values in the process and transform the future generations of the society to become better citizens of this world.

TRAINING
Curriculum for students includes communication skills, personality development, aptitude and finishing school skills training, which is interlaced in their regular course work. This helps in improving their employability quotient to a great extent, as companies who come to campuses to employ students look for these attributes in new recruits, more than their prowess in their domain skills. Hence the students’ transition from the campus to the corporate / business world becomes very smooth and seamless.
ACADEMIA-INDUSTRY CONNECT
CMRU has entered into an MoU with ICAI to introduce collaborative/integrated education programs, innovative teaching techniques, research projects, publications and academic interventions. Foundation and Intermediate courses of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India have been integrated into CMRU’s B.Com (Hons) & B.Com programmes. CMRU will exempt cost management accountants (CMAs) from the Ph.D. coursework for candidates registered in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Cost Accounting and related subjects.
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
ACCA, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the global body for Professional Accountants. The B.Com. (Honours) International Accounting & Finance is an Undergraduate Programme in Commerce which is fully integrated with ACCA Curriculum and is also accredited by ACCA. The programme entails a student completing the entire ACCA Qualification alongside their B.Com (Honours) International Accounting & Finance from CMR University.
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
CIMA, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants is the world’s leading, and largest, professional body of management accountants. The B.Com (Honours) Risk and Management Accounting is an Undergraduate Programme in Commerce which is fully integrated with CIMA Curriculum and is also accredited by CIMA. The programme entails a student completing the entire CIMA Qualification alongside their B.Com. (Honours) Risk and Management Accounting from CMR University.
NASSCOM (IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council)
CMRU has integrated Global Business Foundation Skills (GBFS) courseware into the curriculum, developed by NASSCOM-Sector Skills Council. NASSCOM-SSC (IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council) conducts a pre-competence test at the start of the programme and post assessment test at the end of the programme to certify the skill competency level. The Competency Certificate from NASSCOM provides for employment opportunities, with all the registered companies of NASSCOM.
IBM
CMRU has partnered with IBM India Pvt Ltd to set up a Business Analytics Lab, through which Certificate Programmes for UG/PG students aligned with relevant IBM Software will be offered. IBM will provide courseware and/or perform training activities for Career Education courses included in the CMR University curriculum.

Scholarships
Each year, the CMR Jnanadhara Trust awards a number of scholarships to exceptional and highly deserving students from across the University. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit/means/demonstrated leadership or sports abilities.
CMR Memorial Scholarships :-
The CMR Memorial Scholarships are awarded to students with financial need, as determined by the CMR Scholarship Committee. It is a merit cum means scholarship. This financial aid comes from a dedicated scholarship fund of the CMR Jnanadhara Trust. Any student who comes from an economically weak background, and/or from a rural area is eligible to apply. The applicant must furnish the relevant details as proof of his/her eligibility. A good academic record is a must.
CMR Merit Scholarships :-
Any undergraduate or postgraduate student with an outstanding academic track record will be considered.
CMR Sports Scholarships :-
The CMR Sports Scholarship aims to promote and encourage sports activities both within CMRU, as well as throughout the country. These scholarships are offered at the State Level, the National Level and International Level.
Students who have participated in sports competitions including track and field events, athletics, cricket, hockey, basketball, volleyball, swimming, and fencing etc at the State, National and International levels are eligible to apply. Students who have participated in yoga or chess at National and International competitions are also invited to apply.

Therefore, while residents enjoy the maximum freedom, it is ensured that this is always within the framework of standard guidelines and procedures.
