Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School was established in 2014 with the aim to impart quality management education in tune with the ever-changing business environment. It has since made its mark in management education, with nearly 100% placements in companies of repute. The school aims to emerge as a Centre of Excellence in all facets of management education even while remaining rooted in Indian ethos and social values.
The school strives to produce skilled and competent managers as well as entrepreneurs to meet the needs of the modern Indian corporate world, while also making effort to meet the country’s aspirations to emerge as a global business superpower.
The curriculum, designed by experts from management and management education, adheres to the prescribed framework even as it strives to meet the expectations of the industry. The teaching methodology combines experiential learning with application, case studies, analysis, projects, exercises, simulations, company visits and activity labs so that students receive education that is rigorous, relevant and progressive. The campus has modern classrooms supported by suitable IT infrastructure for connectivity and access to academic resources.

Training & Internships
The Summer Internship Programme (SIP) at the institute places the students for an 8-week long internship after their second semester and before their third semester. The major goals of the SIP are as follows:
- Gain a thorough understanding of their specific domain.
- Recognize the job profiles that fall under their domain and the skill sets that are required.
- Get corporate experience so that they are prepared to begin their careers.
Industry Projects
Live Projects included in the curriculum make the programs advanced and industry-focused. Students complete several live business projects from various disciplines during the course to develop their conceptual, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. They get practical experience in and knowledge about the real corporate world, which helps them develop their leadership qualities.
The students are assigned to live projects in a variety of domains and profiles, and they work on various modules and strategies to implement the project. Through the projects, the students understand the requirements and difficulties that industries face. The students then work on solutions to address the problem and implement the solutions in the business organization.

Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School Placements has a separate placement team that oversees the placement-related process. The Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School placement team is responsible for identifying the proper organisation for students, which is befitting their talents and capabilities. To do that, the placement team selects and invites companies for final and summer internship placements.

PUNE: Dr. D. Y. Patil B School has collaborated with IBM to setup an IBM Business
Analytics Lab as part of its work with the IBM career education program. This on
campus lab will run modular certificate programs which would be jointly
delivered by Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School and IBM and equip students with knowledge
and skills to develop and deploy applications for business analytics.

New Delhi [India], March 11 (ANI/SRV Media): In its 2021 edition of ranking the best management and business schools in India, the Times B-School Survey gave Dr D. Y. Patil B-School outstanding rankings. The Pune based B-school ranked 20th in Top 100 Indian B-Schools, 11th in Top 75 Private Institutes, and 8th in Top 20 West Zone B-Schools.
