IFIM College was started in the year 2009, affiliated to Bangalore University, with the intention to offer Under Graduate (UG) Programs, such as BBA, B.Com and BCA, in Business, Accounting and Technology with a Mission “To Nurture holistic, socially responsible and continuously employable professionals”. In 2013, another feather was added to the cap- BA-JEP to the UG programs. The Undergraduate programs of the College acquired permanent affiliation from Bangalore University, and in addition to this, Post Graduate programs, MBA and M.Com, affiliated to Bangalore University, were introduced in 2017. The MBA program is AICTE approved, with an intake of 120 seats.
The focus, at IFIM College, has been directed towards interdisciplinary learning, and in its very first cycle, in 2016, it was accredited ‘A Grade’ by NAAC; IFIM College is also ISO certified. The year 2019 marked the celebration of the 10th year of the College, since its inception. The College received recognition under 2(f) and 12(b) from UGC in 2018. This motivated us to aim for the autonomous status.
IFIM College has entered the next phase of evolution with the Autonomous status, which we received in 2021. This has set us apart from the rest of the institutions in our league. Collaborative learning schemes have been introduced to enable a learning environment via the five pedagogical interventions which are Constructive, Collaborative, Integrative, Reflective and Inquiry Based Learning. The social outlook would be emphasized to create holistic leaders. The quintessential student of IFIM College would be the ‘Global Indian’, who is equipped with global principles to face the dynamic Indian scenario. The ecosystem at IFIM College embraces technology with the ultimate aim to provide suitable technological platforms that promote the growth and wellbeing of each and every student who are a part of our IFIM family.
IFIM college secured the 11th rank in INDIA TODAY survey 2019 for top colleges offering BBA in India.
GHRDC BBA Colleges survey 2020 had ranked IFIM college as the 4th Top College for the BBA program in India and rendered 3rd rank in the Southern Region.
In the recent B School survey conducted by OUTLOOK-ICARE to access Institutions offering MBA program, among 275 Institutions participated, Our Institution has been ranked as 1st in Bengaluru, 4th in southern states, 9th in standalone Institutions and 14th best in Pan INDIA.

When you leave the comforts of your home and immerse yourself in a totally new environment, you broaden your horizons and learn to adopt to a multicultural environment. This global experience will pay off enormously during final job placement. While the developmental rewards of interning abroad are nearly insurmountable, the ultimate goal of an internship abroad is to generally help you in obtaining a job in the future in your field of choice. International Internship Activities
Our IFIM College BBA students; Simran Vasudev, Harsha Sharma and Gautam Kale in China for their international internship. As a part of their internship activity, they coordinated and worked with the Government department of physical education, in organizing a marathon to raise funds for Autistic children. The event was covered by Chinese media. The students were a part of the “The 2nd International Youth Innovation Conference” where “The Positive Role of Youth in Coping with Future Challenges” was discussed. The three students were also taken to various companies in China to understand how companies function abroad.

From teaching beatboxing to judging a British cultural competition, Gideon Samuel, B.Com student, IFIM College shares his moments from Russia where he did his International Internship. Our student Gideon Samuel got featured on Russia's TV channel which covered the British Club's summer camp. He taught music and beatboxing at the camp. He also got to perform in front of VIPs and Ministers of Russia during an event.
IFIM Alumni Association opens UG Scholarship for BBA and BBA LLB aspirants. The scholarship targets families that would not be able to support their child’s education in an elite institute and aims to provide an equal opportunity to these aspirants to receive quality education and achieve their long-term goals. The Association has decided to offer this scholarship for aspirants effected in Kerala and Coorg by the August 2018 floods. The aspirant will be offered 100% scholarship based on need and merit basis. The scholarship will identify and select candidates before they join IFIM College and avoid subsidizing fees to already selected students. The Association extends Rs. 10 – 12 lakhs for the Scholarship in total and the selection of candidates will be done through a pre-set process detailed below:
Process of the Scholarship:
IFIM Alumni Association proposes to offer 100% UG Scholarship for 1-2 aspirant(s) identified to be affected in Kerala & Coorg floods in 2019
- Initial round of written test and personal interview with IFIM College Admissions.
- Qualifying candidates to undergo second round of interview with 2 Alumni Committee members and 1 alumni member to select and finalize.
Documents to be produced:
- Students will need to produce letter issued by local authorities / governing bodies stating that they were affected by the flood.
- Students to have minimum 70% aggregate in 10th and 10+2 examinations, having passed in the first attempt. If this criterion is not found in the applying students, the same will be reduced at the discretion of the committee.
- Parents Income statement to be produced for evaluation by the selection board.
VB Padode Foundation Scholarship is applicable to student/s pursuing BBA, B. Com., BCA, BA (JPE), MBA & M.Com. courses at IFIM College, Bangalore. The scholarship will be based on 2 categories: Merit Based Scholarship & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) Based Scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria for Merit Based Scholarship:
For MBA Students:
a) 50% Scholarships will be given to :
- 10th Std – 95% and above
- 12th Std – 95% and above &
- UG/Adv. ISAT score 85% and above (OR) with 95% and above in entrance test (CAT, XAT, MAT etc.…)
b) 25% Scholarships will be given to:
- 10th Std – 85% to 94%,
- 12th Std – 85% to 94%, &
- UG/Adv. ISAT score 79% to 84% (OR) with 85% to 94% in entrance test (CAT, XAT, MAT etc.…)

Hostel facilities and mess food are good and there are 2 sharing rooms with attached bathroom, and the balcony is provided and the corridor is there and every student is provided with a Godrej and a table with chair and a bed. And GYM facility is also their,dining hall is there and the library is also provided.
The security deposit must be paid at the time of registration- 15,000 For boys hostel, you can choose from 2 options one is main hostel IFIM -which is of 90,000 for six months and second, being the Oxford caps which needs 72,000 for six-month. Girls hostelers can choose from 2 options one is main hostel IFIM -which is of 90,000 for six months and other being Oxford caps which needs 72,000 for six months.
