College Award & Ranking

New Delhi, Delhi, India: IMS-Design and Innovation Academy, (IMS-DIA) Noida has been Awarded “Milestone of Khadi” for the year 2017. The Award was given by Ms. India Khadi Foundation in the Association with Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) at Taj Diplomacy, Delhi. The award was received by Dr. Kulneet Suri (Sr. Director IMS & IMS-DIA) for her efforts to promote Swadeshi lifestyle.

Students in order to promote Khadi, have been participating in Design Competitions and promoting events of national importance Like Sankalp for Khadi and Miss Khadi India. Students have been acquiring many accolades and have taken the initiative of making Khadi a part of our day to day lives. IMS-DIA has been taking initiatives in craft promotion, skill development and integration of Design and Craft for the masses, be it working with the artisans for development of contemporary products for modern users, guidance for marketing, training in skill, project development. Promoting Khadi to the society by our community radio station “Salaam Namaste” has also been instrumental in spreading awareness and promoting use of Khadi By the program salaam Swadeshi.

In the flow Dr. Kulneet Suri, Senior Director IMS-DIA in her words of expression says “With our efforts we want to showcase and promote the elegance of Khadi designer wear in society. Khadi fabric has always won the hearts through its sheer simplicity, elegance and moreover with the fact that it can be molded in so many different ways. We as a design academy keeps on experimenting to showcase Khadi as a perfect wear. Moreover bringing back the skilled Khadi spinners, who have long left spinning in a hope to attain a better lifestyle or of training new workers.”

The college is good compared to other private institutes but needs to grow a lot.
Placements: I have no knowledge about placements in college as I am studying by myself currently. But according to my seniors, placements in the college so far are not very good. There is a lot of manipulation faced by students for internships.Infrastructure: The college has a small building. Wi-Fi facility is available in the college. There is no proper cafeteria available. There is a library provided as well. There is also a computer lab, but the systems are outdated. Design and innovation academy is a part of IMS Noida campus, but the playgrounds are not available for students of DIA. The hostel is nearby but is available only for girls. There is no boys hostel available.Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good. Some are really experienced while some are just newbies. Inter politics keeps going on here, but that happens in every institute. The course is pretty bad as whatever was told was never taught. We are still struggling with the course, and hence students do not take interest to attend college.Other: The college doesn't organise any events or fests. A student committee is set up just for namesake. Overall, the campus is a really messed up place.

Placement

IMS DIA Placements: IMS DIA grooms and trains the budding designers and offer them with numerous opportunities to spread their wings by placing them in top positions in design and corporate world. A lot of the students of IMS Design and Innovation Academy, Noida go on to form their own enterprise which is in turn supported by the institute with guidance and logistics as required. The placement team puts a lot of emphasis on the personality development of the students.
IMS DIA Training and Placement: The placement team of the institute works tirelessly to train the students and make them industry ready. The students are required to complete mandatory internships embedding the business atmosphere into them which shines as a positive during interviews.

IMS DIA, dream, dare, design.
Placements: The placements were quite impressive. Many of our seniors are working with well-known designers and high-end brands. Many of them are working with brands like Tommy, Gitanjali, Scoopwhoop, Adobe etc. Many of them have their own startup.Infrastructure: The college has beautiful design environment. There are a library, computer lab, discussion rooms and dance rooms are available. The classes are clean and eco-friendly. The campus is connected with high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity and also WGSN user id so that you can always get updated with the latest trends.Faculty: Teachers in the campus are quite friendly always, and they are highly experienced. They teach according to the industry needs and always make sure to motivate students to work more and go ahead and get there dream fulfil. Regarding the faculty, I will recommend DIA as the best institute.
