IIM Bangalore has successfully completed the Summer Internship Placements for two-year full-time PGP and PGP-BA 2022-24 batch in two days. This summer, IIM Bangalore's largest batch of 529 students received 539 offers, the highest batch size ever. Recruiters such as BCG, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, TAS, Nestle, among others, participated in the placement process.
Summer Placements: Summer Placements for the first year students take place in the first/ second week of November every year.

Industry Projects
At IIM Bangalore, the second-year MBA students undertake a Contemporary Concerns Study (CCS). These studies/projects are guided by faculty and provide students with an opportunity to pursue their interest in Supply Chain in depth. These studies are done in association with a sponsoring organisation. The sponsoring organisation gets a business problem studied and researched through IIM B students at zero cost. The students, in turn, get an opportunity to apply their learning to a business problem.

Scholarships
PGP students also receive several Merit based or Merit-cum-Need based scholarships as detailed below:
1. Aditya Birla Scholarship: This merit-based scholarship is given to PGP students of both the first and the second years. The students who are granted the scholarship during the first year are eligible to apply for renewal in the second year, provided they belong to the top 25% of the batch in the first year. The scholarship amount is INR 1.75 lakh per student.
2.OPJEMS Scholarship: This merit-based scholarship is given to PGP students of second year. The first ten toppers of the second year, based on the academic performance in the first year, are eligible to apply. On the basis of an online test conducted by OP Jindal Group, one student of each academic year will be awarded. The scholarship amount is INR 1.50 lakh.
3.Citi Women’s Leader Award: This is a merit scholarship that covers the second year’s tuition expenses. Candidates are selected from the top 25% of the batch at the end of the first year. Nomination is done by the institute and the students are selected on the basis of their Statement of Purpose and subsequent interviews scheduled by Citi Group.
IIM Bangalore has boys hostels at the campus for the accommodation of students. Students are allotted a well-furnished single room. There is 24 hours internet connectivity, music room and laundry facilities are available at hostels for students.

Placement
IIM Bangalore has released its placement report for the PGP and PGPBA batch of 2022 and according to the report, 662 offers were made to 524 students by 137 recruiters. A total of 273 Pre-placement offers were made out of which 181 PPO’s were accepted. The Average Salary offered was INR 33.82 LPA whereas the Median Salary stood at INR 31.2 LPA.
The Institute has also released its placement report for the EPGP batch of 2022 and 30 companies participated in the placement drive and recruited 71 students. The maximum number of students were recruited by Accenture and the average CTC of INR 30.90 LPA was offered and median CTC stood at INR 30 LPA.
The placement drive engaged 137+ recruiters. Some of the top recruiters included Accenture Strategy, Amazon, Microsoft and many others.

IIM Bangalore Partners with Assam Government for CM's Young Professional Program
New Delhi: Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Bangalore has joined hands with the Government of Assam to offer the Chief Minister's Young Professional Programme (CMYPP) for the academic session 2023-25.
In an effort to bring transformative changes in health, education, women's empowerment, and child development, an MoU was signed between IIM Bangalore and Assam government in this regard, in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Samir Kumar Sinha, principal secretary to the chief minister, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of the government of Assam, and Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore, signed it on behalf of that institution.
Under this collaboration, the institute will aim to create a cadre of dedicated and capable leaders and facilitators to support governmental administration. This will be achieved through the Chief Minister's Young Professional Program, which will be offered from session 2023-25.
IIM Bangalore Records 539 Internship Offers in Summer Placements
New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has successfully concluded its summer placements for the MBA batch of 2022, after two days of interviews, by recording almost 539 internship offers.
With the number of Covid-19 cases decreasing worldwide, the business school held its first offline placement drive. The summer placements recorded the participation of students from the Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) and Post Graduate Program in Business Analytics (PGP-BA) programmes.
During the IIM Bangalore Summer Placements 2022, the Consulting firms made 233 offers in total, followed by 73 offers from businesses in the finance sector.
A total of 67 offers for their leadership tracks in General Management positions were made. In the sales and marketing sector, around 58 offers were made.
