The summer internship starts after the first year of the course. An internship develops core knowledge
for students which help them be better prepared for the specialized electives they have opted for the
second year as well as for final placements. The industry exposure is even more significant for freshers
as this is the first time they get hands on real time experience with the corporates.
At NMIMS, Hyderabad, the summer internship program duration is of 8-10 weeks based on the
requirements of the corporates and to what the curriculum allows. It starts from the first week of April
and lasts till the end of May.
Central Sector Scheme of scholarship for college and university students-
Central Sector Scheme of scholarship for college and university students offers financial support to the economically weaker students from general, SC, ST communities and physically handicapped students.
Eligibility- Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in class 10+2 or equivalent and have family income less than INR 6 Lakhs per annum, pursuing regular courses and not availing of any other scholarship scheme.
The rate of scholarship is INR 1000/- per month at graduation level for the first three years and INR 2000/- per month at post graduation level.
Students pursuing professional courses would get INR 2000/- per month in the 4th and 5th year. The scholarship is paid for 10 months in an academic year.

The hostels are pretty good. Each room is shared by 2 to 3 students. AC's, washing machine, television, refrigerator, study tables, microwave ovens etc are provided. The mess is hygienic and the food is good too, with various dishes which suits the needs of students from different backgrounds.
The hostels are 1 BHK with top facilities one could get like a TV, washing machine, microwave and a fridge the cleaning is done every day 3 members per room, might be 2 due to COVID and the mess is just below the building is hygienic and has different cuisines.
