Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE) is the congregation of knowledge and vision that provides a unique opportunity to its students to gain insights into tomorrow’s technology. RCE follows a holistic approach which transformed the students into new generation citizens with vision, a deep sense of moral and ethical values and social responsibilities.
Uttarakhand formerly known as Uttaranchal, is a state in the northern part of India. It is often referred to as the “Land of the Gods” Devbhoomi Uttarakhand due to the many holy Hindu temples and pilgrimage centers found throughout the state. Char Dham is referred to the four most holy Hindu pilgrimage of India nestled in Indian Himalayas of Uttarakhand state of India. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Sri Kedarnathji and Sri Badrinathji, collectively referred to as the Char Dham (four pilgrimage centers) of Hinduism, these four sites are the epicenter of religious activity in north India and important shrine for Hindus.

Award under CMAI, AICTE & UTU National Education Excellence Award
Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE) was awarded the “Best Upcoming Engineering College in Uttarakhand Award” under CMAI National Uttarakhand Award Jointly by CMAI, AICTE and UTU. Award was presented by Hon’ble Mr. Vijay Bahuguna, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand& Hon’ble Prof. D. S. Chauhan, Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, Hon’ble Mr. R. C. Pathak, IAS, Secretary, Science & Technology Uttarakhand, Mr. Dinesh Aggarwal, Ministry of Planning-IT, Sports and Youth Affairs, Prof. S. C. Gupta, Deputy Director, IIT, Roorkee. The award function was organized at Survey of India Auditorium, Dehradun on Feb. 11th, 2013. In the ceremony, Mr. Vijay Bahuguna emphasized on Significance of practical knowledge in technical education.

Under CMAI, AICTE & MTU, and National Education Excellence Award
Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE) was awarded the “Best Technical Institute in Uttarakhand Award” under CMAI National Uttarakhand Award jointly by CMAI, AICTE, and MTU. The award was presented by Hon’ble Mr. Abhishek Mishra, Minister of Science & Technology, Gov. of UP & Mr. S. S. Mantha Chairman AICTE, Mr. S. K. Kak, Vice Chancellor, Mahamaya Technical University, Mr. JaganathanChelliah, Director, Education & Technology, Texas Instruments, Mr. S N Rai, Director Lava Mobiles, Mr. Ashwani Kumar, MD NIELIT (DOEACC), Mr. Yogesh Kochhar, Director Microsoft. The award ceremony was organized at JSS Academy Auditorium, Noida on 19th Aug. 2013. This venerated award was jointly received by the CA S K Gupta, Hon’ble Chairman RCE and Shri Naman Bansal, Secretary, RCE.

Gupta – Chairman of Roorkee College of Engineering, Uttarakhand received the Award of “Best Engineering College Award” by Chief Editor of the Magazine After Several months of deliberation, “Career Connect” Magazine selected RCE that has grown to be the fountain head among Technical Institutes providing Technical Education in India and facilitated for its optimal blending of discipline, academic excellence and industrial exposure in career building of students.

The world is booming with new career opportunities that were previously unimaginable. COER believes that the best way to lay a strong foundation for a stable career is to be informed and prepared. It is important that while studying at the institute, students explore the current and upcoming career choices available to them across various domains, be it in corporate sectors, government, civil society and non-profit organizations, academia, or entrepreneurship.
To ensure that students are aware of the crescendos and the factors that govern them, CPDC @ COER organizes a series of guest lectures by leading experts from the relevant industries and domains. Various programs to engage in the industry through real-time exposure with the industry, mentoring programs, seminars and trainings, as well as individual career counseling give students the opportunity to get acquainted with the field and give them the opportunity to make an informed decision about graduation.

Industry Interface

Internshala is an internship platform for online and offline summer training. MoU was signed between AICTE & Internshala on 27th April, 2017 to facilitate internship for students and the facility is available on AICTE Portal. Internshal’s campnaies would be offering internships for students across India in diverse roles like Engineering, Product Managements, Design, Sales and Marketing, Content writing, Human Resourses and Finance.
The platform, which was founded in 2010, started out as a WordPress blog that aggregated internships across India and articles on education, technology, and skill gap. Internshala launched its online trainings in 2014. As of 2017, the platform had 1.7 million students and 40,000 companies
Industry Projects
  • Experiential learning is essential for better understanding of the chosen field and it enhances the practical knowledge of students to meet the industry requirements.
  • Students are allowed to undertake up to 5 projects in his/her chosen subjects, allied or interdisciplinary areas.
  • Students can apply themselves in 1 project and take it to the higher level through innovating or can take an alternative option to pursue 5 different projects.
  • Students undertaking internships and industrial internships are facilitated through credit transfer.

Many Compaies come to our college and hold a campus drive exclusively for our students. Different types of companies including computer science, IT, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Petroleum etc prefer to have exclusive interview of our students only. They conduct different rounds like written Test, Group Discussion, Technical Interview, and HR Interview Round and at the end of the day the list of finally selected candidates is declared with a photo session to make the events memorable.

Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE) is a private engineering college located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. The college was established in 2010 and is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University.
