Short/Summer Programs

Sharda University offers a variety of short-term programs, which cover many different subjects and are available to everyone. INDIAN HERITAGE AND CULTURAL PROGRAM (Duration: 1/2 Weeks)

Sharda University offers 1 week and 2 weeks Indian Heritage and Cultural Experience Program for international students wishing to visit India and experience Indian life and culture. The intent is to give students a taste of traditional Indian arts and culture as is lived in contemporary India. The program aims to impart working knowledge of Indian culture through Yoga, Medication, basic Hindi, and visits to historical and spiritual places of interest in India.

The Program covers:

3 workshops of 3 hours duration each on Indian art, society, culture, dance, & yoga
1 day sightseeing of Delhi (India Gate, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Dilli Haat Market)
1 day excursion to historic Agra (Taj Mahal, Red Fort)
Visit to Chauki Daani and Sonipat
Visit to Jaipur-the Pink City and see the temples, palaces and forts of Rajasthan (applicable only to the 2 week program)
Accommodation in double AC room on campus + 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner)

CERTIFICATE IN YOGA (Duration 1-4 Weeks)

Keeping pace with Indian culture Sharda University offers a 4 week course in Yoga. A history of 5000 years is proof of how lasting and magical this exercise art really is. How many other exercises can boast worldwide acceptance? The fact is, over the past twenty years, yoga popularity has increased from minimal interest to one of the most popular exercise regimes around. This course is designed to give the information on the perfect Yoga combination that will make your practice most enjoyable and satisfying. You will be guided through the steps for beginner Yoga poses and meditation, with emphasis on concentrated deep breathing. Consequently the Yoga course enables students to channelize their vital energies and control the specific physical, mental and spiritual roles in their body in order to attain physical and psychological welfare. 1 day trip to Agra (Taj Mahal and Red Fort) and sightseeing of Delhi is a part of the program.

BUDDHIST STUDIES (Duration: 1-4 Weeks)

Sharda University offers a 4 week course in Buddhist studies. Today, Buddhism continues to gain ever wider acceptance in many lands far beyond its original home. People throughout the world choose to adopt Buddhism's peaceful, compassionate and responsible habits. Accordingly, the Sharda University course in Buddhist Studies aims to facilitate the appreciation and familiarity of the Buddhist philosophy, ethics and principles and the concepts in consonance with inculcation of relevant attitude and values. The course prepares students for socially relevant affirmative action towards peace, non-violence and the quest for personal and spiritual growth.
Optional trip to Bodh Gaya: Bodh Gaya is a religious site and pilgrimage associated with the Mahabodhi Temple Complex in Gaya district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is famous as it is the place where Gautama Buddha is said to have obtained Enlightenment (Pali:bodhi) under what became known as the Bodhi Tree.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP LAUNCHPAD (Duration:8 Weeks)

This Course aims to invite your students and alumni to join our Entrepreneurship Programme / Sharda Launch Pad (SPL). By joining the program your students/alumni will get the necessary resources and professional advice by knowledgeable faculty and industry experts of how to start a business in India and globally as well as guidance of how to raise capital to support their business. Students and Alumni who will join the programme will become active members of SLP, Sharda Universitys Entrepreneurial Platform. SLP aims to promote entrepreneurial spirit among participants worldwide. It is essentially a platform to help foster a culture of entrepreneurship and to create a new venture-building ecosystem. Participants communicate their entrepreneurial ideas and aspirations to SLP. SLP through its Entrepreneurship programs Syncubator & Xcelerator, industry-oriented faculty and marker experts, help them to overcome the difficulties that entrant entrepreneurs face in the Indian marketplace. The activities are results driven. Experts teach the participants how to create the contacts, how to plan the business start-up, how to get the finance, and how to launch and support the new business.
The Stage 1 program, Syncubator, is designed to accelerate the growth and success of entrepreneurs through a range of business support resources and services that include physical space, coaching, common services, and networking connections. Through Syncubator participants are taught how to apply their business ideas and be successful in the Indian market. It provides them the following benefits:

Sharda Scholarship

Right to Education is one of the fundamental rights of every Indian citizen. Sharda University believes that money should not be a road block for a student with innovative ideas in his mind and passion in his heart. We extend scholarships and financial assistance to meritorious students based on their academic achievements.
A number of scholarships are offered to students depending on the academic credentials and their achievements in sporting and cultural arena. The University grants full to partial waiver on tuition fees payable by the student.

Scholarships granted based on Academic Merits:

The students on their satisfactory performance in Sharda University Admission Test (SUAT), Personal Interview (PI) and depending on their merit in qualifying exams, shall be eligible for the grant of the following merit scholarships:

On their admission in Master Degree programmes (other than Medical, Dental & Nursing) will be eligible for the award of fee waiver equivalent to 25% of their Tuition fee of first year. University Scholarship Policy (2021-22) would be applicable on 2nd year.

Sports Category Scholarships

The students who have excelled in sporting activities at National & State Level will be eligible for Sports Scholarship from 10% to 80% on tuition fee in 1st year. For updated & detailed information on the nature of Sports and the Eligibility criteria you may visit the University campus.

Naval / Army / Air force /Coastal Guard/ CRPF Scholarship

5% Scholarship for Children of Military/Para Military/Govt. Security Forces, Serving & Retd. Defence Personnel on tuition fee of 1st year in all courses except Medical, Dental, Nursing & Pharmacy.

Sibling Scholarship

Fee waiver of 5% in 1st year for student whose sibling is pursuing education at the university. Proof of relation is required

Wards of Sharda University Staff : Tuition fee waiver as per University policy

Maximum one Scholarship can be availed by the students whichever is higher.

Art & Culture Scholarship available from 5% to 20% based on exemplary student performance in class XI & XII. Kindly contact admission counsellor for details

On conclusion of Admission 2020-21, the number of scholarships granted and the names of beneficiaries will be placed on the University website.
The number of scholarships in 2nd and subsequent years shall be as per scholarships contribution policy 2020-21.
Academic performance of a student shall be the sole criteria for continuation of the scholarship. Scholarships starting from highest slab shall be granted based on the position in merit list prepared School wise.
Scholarship continuation eligibility: Minimum 8.00 CGPA and 75% attendance. Detailed Scholarship Continuation Policy will be available on website by 30th Sep.
Scholarship will be awarded on Tuition Fee only. (Foreign Tour charges shall not be included)
Scholarship would not apply if there is gap between academic sessions.
Only those students who have cleared their examination in 2019-20 would be eligible for scholarship.
In B.Sc. Nursing, & B.Pharma- 5% Seats are under Scholarship Scheme.
Last date to avail scholarship is 30th June’20.
