AIIMS Nursing Officer Age Limit

The minimum age required to attempt the AIIMS Nursing Officer exam is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years. However, there are age-relaxation criteria for specific categories that are given below.

SC/ ST 5 years
OBC 3 years
Persons with Disabilities (PWD) 10 years, subject to the condition that the maximum age of the candidate on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years.
PWD + OBC 13 years, subject to the condition that the maximum age of the candidate on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years.
PWD + SC/ ST 15 years, subject to the condition that the maximum age of the candidate on the crucial date shall not exceed 56 years.
Ex-Servicemen 05 years
Central Government civil Employees (General/UR) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as of closing date for receipt for online submission of application 5 years
Central Government civil Employees OBC who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt for online submission of application 8 Years (5+3 years)
Central Government civil Employees SC/ST who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt for online submission of application 10 years (5+5 Years)

AIIMS Nursing Officer Educational Qualification

In order to attempt the AIIMS Nursing Officer exam, you must have the following educational qualifications.

  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University, OR
  • B.Sc. (Post-Certificate) / Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute/ University, OR
  • Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council recognized Institute / Board or Council
  • Must be registered as Nurse and Midwife with State / Indian Nursing Council.

Besides these educational qualifications, you must have a two-year experience in a minimum 50-bedded hospital after earning the educational qualification.

Exam Pattern

Candidates must know that each question carries one mark and there is a negative marking in the AIIMS Nursing Officer exam. 1/3 of the marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
