Eligibilty Criteria
Before filling out the application form, candidates should read the APTET 2022 Eligibility Criteria. Different Papers have different eligibility criteria, which are stated below.
APTET Age Limit 2022
The age limit required for the positions of primary and Upper Primary Teachers for APTET Recruitment 2022 is 18 years to 40 years
APTET Educational Qualifications 2022
The educational qualifications are given below:
Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5)
- Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ Senior Secondary & 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks. Candidates have passed a 2-year diploma in elementary education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)/ 2-year diploma in education.
- Applicants have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education/ 2-year diploma in education/ 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8)
- Candidates must have passed a Graduate degree with 50% and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC) marks. Aspirants passed B.Ed/ B.Ed (Special Education) degree can apply.
- Candidates who have passed B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed degree with at least 50% marks can apply for APTET 2022.

Syllabus
The detailed syllabus for different Papers are given below:
APTET Paper-I Syllabus 2022
- The test portions on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on the Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the primary level.
- Language–I of APTET Paper-I: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Odiya are offered as First Language in the schools under the state's syllabus. Candidates have to choose among these 6 languages and he/she must have studied that language as a study medium or first language up to class X.
- The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.
- The Language-II shall be English for all the candidates.
- The syllabus for Language-I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the Language, Elements of language, communication, and comprehension abilities.
- The syllabi for Mathematics & Environmental Studies are designed on the basis of topics of Classes I to V.
APTET Paper-II(A) and Paper-II(B) Syllabus 2022
- The test portions on Child Development & Pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the Elementary level for Paper-II (A) Physical Education Pedagogy for Paper-II (B) will focus on Elementary level.
- As Language-I other than Language teachers have to choose among Telugu, Urdu, Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Odia, and Sanskrit, Candidate must have studied the chosen language as a study medium or first language up to class X.
- The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied up to Class X.
- Language Teachers have to choose the Language of their study in Pandit Training concerned under Language-I of TET Paper-II-(A).
- For Physical Education Teacher a candidate has to choose one among five Languages Telugu, Urdu, Tamil, Odiya, Kannada as Language_I of TET Paper-II (B).
- The syllabus for Language-I & II for Paper-II(A) shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication, and Comprehension abilities.
- For Physical Education Teachers the syllabus for Language-I & II shall be based on proficiency in the Language, Elements of Language, Communication, and Comprehension abilities.
