Eligibilty Criteria

The candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the BPCL Recruitment 2022. Candidates are required to follow the educational/work experience details as given below. Also, the candidates are only eligible to apply if they fall under the given age limit.

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for BPCL Recruitment 2022.

BPCL Eligibility: Educational Qualification and Work Experience

Process Technician Applicants should have a Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology(full-time courses) from a Government Polytechnic equivalent Government recognized Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% (first class). Minimum experience of 5 years Post-qualification (which includes the period of Apprenticeship and also it is mandatory in nature)/ desirable experience of 7 years, in Oil Refining / Petroleum / Petrochemical / Chemical / Fertilizer industry etc. in a Manufacturing unit/ Factory of Repute.
Utility Operator Applicants should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Technology (full-time courses) from a Government Polytechnic equivalent Government recognized Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% (first class)
Utility Operator (Boiler) Applicants should have a Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Technology (full-time courses) from a Government Polytechnic equivalent Government recognized Institute approved by AICTE with a minimum of 60% (first class)

BPCL Age Criteria

The upper age limit for the various category candidates is tabulated below:

BPCL 2022 Age Relaxation

BPCL offers age relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates from various reserved categories as tabulated below:

Candidates having domicile of Jammu & Kashmir between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989 5 Years
Commissioned Officers, Ex-servicemen (including ECOs & SSCOs, subject to rendering a minimum of 5 years’ military service and fulfilment of other conditions prescribed by the Government of India) 5 Years
Exam Pattern

The candidates are required to clear an objective type examination which is divided into two parts:

  • Part I- General Aptitude Test
  • Part II- Technical/ Professional Knowledge Check

The questions will be framed as per the five disciplines- Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Fire Engineering and Human Resources.

The BPCL written exam shall be followed by the following examinations:

  • Group Discussion (GD)
  • Interview
  • Psychometric Test

The Psychometric Test shall constitute questions basically to assess the behavioural dimensions of the applicants. The applicants should have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Admission Test for Engineering) exam for qualifying in the concerned post.
