DRDO Technician 'A' Exam Eligibility: Age Limits

The candidate applying for the DRDO Technician 'A'Exam 2022 must fulfill the age criteria as per the official notification. The age criteria are provided below.

  • The candidate applying for the DRDO Technician 'A'post must have attained the age of 18 years and not have attained the age of 28.
  • Relaxations in the upper age limit are provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC), PWD, Widows, Divorced Women & Women judicially separated from their husbands who are not remarried, Employees of Central Government & departmental candidates, Persons domiciled in J&K state during the period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989.
  • Note: Candidates are required to upload copies of educational certificates, caste certificates, PwD certificates, etc. at the time of submission of the online application.

DRDO Technician 'A' Exam Eligibility: Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates should have at least passed 10th or equivalent and ITI (Trade specific) from any Recognized Institute or University as the Educational Qualification.

NOTE: Those awaiting results of the final examination of the prescribed Educational/Professional qualification SHOULD NOT APPLY. Please note that the candidates possessing higher qualifications, viz., M.Sc. or B.Tech. or B.E. or Ph.D. degree, etc., as on crucial date of eligibility, shall not be considered for the recruitment. Mere fulfillment of the minimum eligibility does not entitle any candidate to claim his/her candidature for selection to any post.

Exam Pattern

The DRDO Technician 'A' recruitment is a two-tier-based examination. Candidates have to clear the tier I as well as the tier II examination for the final selection. The candidates who qualify in the tier I exam are shortlisted for the tier II exam and final selection is done on a merit basis.

DRDO Technician 'A' recruitment 2022 Tier I Exam Pattern

The Tier I exam is a computer-based online exam that contains 150 multiple-choice questions. The candidates have to mark the correct option from the provided options. The total duration of the CBT exam is 2 hours.

DRDO Technician 'A' recruitment 2022 Tier II Exam Pattern

The candidates who qualify cutoff marks in the DRDO Technician 'A' Exam Tier I are further shortlisted for the Tier II (Trade test) exam. The calling for the Tier-II exam is based on the result of the Tier I exam in a ratio of 1:12 (vacancy: No. of shortlisted candidates). However, this ratio may increase depending upon organizational requirements. The last candidate marks in the bracket will also be included. Provisionally shortlisted candidates in Tier-I will be called for Tier-II (Trade Test). Trade tests can happen for 1-2 hours. Trade Test is mandatory for final selection.
