Eligibilty Criteria

he DSSSB Librarian Eligibility Criteria is a crucial factor for all the candidates preparing to appear for the exam. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria for the DSSSB Librarian Exam 2022 in order to sit in the exam. The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Recruitment Board has the final call over the eligibility criteria and it's mandatory for every candidate to follow the same.

The eligibility criteria have many components which need to be fulfilled by the aspirants.

DSSSB Librarian Educational Qualifications

The educational qualifications which are a must for every aspirant to be eligible for the DSSSB Librarian Exam are:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
  • A bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Library Science from a recognized University/Institute.

DSSSB Librarian Age Limit

The eligibility criteria of age limit are other important requirements of the DSSSB Librarian Exam. The maximum age for applying for the post of DSSSB Librarian is 30 years of age. However, age relaxation is there for the aspirants who belongs from the special or reserved categories.

Meritorious Sports Person Up to 5 years of relaxation (10 years for SC/ST and 8 years for OBC)
Ex- Serviceman (Non- Gazetted) Period of Military service plus 3 years
Disabled Defence Services personnel 45 years (50 years of SC/ST, 48 years for OBC)

DSSSB Librarian Eligibility 2022: Nationality

The candidates who are eligible to appear for the DSSSB Librarian exam must be citizens of India. All the candidates having the nationality of India are eligible to apply for the exam.

DSSSB Librarian Eligibility 2022: Total Number of Attempts

Before reaching the maximum age of 30 years, candidates can give “n” number of attempts. There are no specific number of attempts, only the age factor must be kept into consideration. The candidates belonging from the reserved candidates are allowed to give as many numbers of attempts till their age relaxation permits.

Exam Pattern

DSSSB Librarian Exam 2022 is a one-tier exam which is an objective kind of paper of 200 marks with a syllabus covering two sections of general awareness and the concerned subject i.e., Library Information and Science.
