Eligibilty Criteria

Educational requirements vary from post to post according to the notification released by Gujarat Police Department. The Overview of the Eligibility Criteria for various posts is discussed in the table below.

Gujarat Police Age Limit 2022

  • Any candidate who is between 18 and 50 years of age is eligible to apply.
  • Various posts have different age-related requirements which will be available in the released notification only.
  • As per the guidelines of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (MHRD), there are certain age relaxations for certain groups of candidates applying to the posts notified by the Gujarat Police Department as depicted in the following table:

Exam Pattern

The Gujarat Police 2022 exam pattern will be similar to the exam pattern in 2020. check the highlights of the exam pattern below:

  • For various posts, different stages of selection will be adopted by the Gujarat Police Department to select the candidate for service.
  • For the written examination stage found in almost all of the notified Gujarat Police Vacancies, the exam will be conducted with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The exam will have a maximum mark of 100 marks.
  • There will be one mark allocated for each of the questions found in the Written Test.
  • The Written test will usually consist of 3 sections.
  • The 3 sections will be there namely; Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability, and General Knowledge.
  • Each section has some weights in it.
  • General Knowledge or Current Issues Section will have an indicative weightage of up to 50 marks.
  • The Reasoning Ability Section will have an indicative weightage of up to 15 marks.
  • The Numerical Ability Section will have an indicative weightage of up to 35 marks.
