Eligibilty Criteria

The eligibility criteria consist of nationality, educational qualification, age limit, etc. which are shown in the below table:

Airmen Group X Candidates born between 16 January 2001 and 29 December 2004 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply (from Batch 01/2022) 10+2/Intermediate or its equivalent passed from any recognized Board/University with physics, mathematics, and English with 50% marks and 50% marks aggregate in English. Or 3 years diploma/polytechnic Engineering in any discipline from a recognized institute/university.
Airmen Group Y Candidates born between 16 January 2001 and 29 December 2004 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply (from Batch 01/2022) 10+2/Intermediate passed in any stream from any recognized Board/University with a minimum of 50% marks and having 50% aggregate in English subject.

Note: If the candidates fulfill the criteria for both Group X and Y they can apply to both X&Y groups.

Exam Pattern

The candidates need to crack the written test firstly convicted in online mode to get appear in the further selection stages. The written test will be MCQ-type paper and bilingual (Hindi & English). Fixed time duration is provided for this exam. The candidates appearing for both X & Y groups need to do both exams in the same sitting. The detailed exam pattern is mentioned below in the tabular form.

As we discuss above IAF Group X is an online exam having 70 questions for 70 marks and time is given 60minutes to solve the question paper. It includes three sections namely English, Mathematics, and Physics. The detailed section-wise syllabus is mentioned below:

IAF Group X and Y Physical Fitness Test Standards:

Medical Test
