Eligibilty Criteria

IDES Educational Qualifications 2022

There are some requirements of the educational background of the candidate to be marked as eligible for the IDES Exam mentioned below:

  • The candidate must hold a graduation degree from a recognized Indian university or institute.
  • The candidates who attain a degree with correspondence or distance are also eligible for the exam and the candidates pursuing MBBS are also eligible for the exam.
  • The candidate has attained a degree in the foreign and that university in the foreign is recognized by the Association of Indian University, then that candidate is also marked eligible for the exam.
  • The candidates who have completed the final levels of any professional courses from the high profile boards such as the ICAI, ICSI, and ICWAI can also be marked eligible for the exam.

IDES Age Limit 2022

  • The candidate must not be older than 32 years at the time of applying for the exam. Likewise, If the candidate is above the age of 32 will not be considered eligible for the exam.
  • However, the candidates belonging to the OBC category have been provided with the relaxation of two years and the candidates belonging to SC/STs Categories have been provided with the relaxation of five years.
  • Relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for a candidate from the State of Jammu & Kashmir
  • Relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for Defence Services Personnel
Exam Pattern

The IDES recruitment is based on the UPSC exam and the candidates have to go through the UPSC exam pattern because the exam is the same for the IDES selection. The exam pattern for the same is mentioned below in the table: Candidates can get knowledge of the IAS Exam Pattern here.
