Latest Notification

The Indian Army GD Recruitment will begin soon on the website of the Indian Army. The recruitment exam will be conducted in multiple phases. Candidates qualifying all the levels will be called for the recruitment process. The candidates who are willing to apply are suggested to check the official website for updates.

Registration

The candidates aspiring to apply for the post of Indian Army 2022 need to register first and fill out the application form. The completion of the application form can be easily done following these simple steps mentioned below.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Indian Army.

Step 2: Candidates who have not registered before need to register themselves for One Time Registration(OTR), after paying the application fee of Rs.200.
Step 3: Candidates need to upload their picture, signature, and other documents asked for registration.
Step 4: After registration, proceed to log in using a unique ID and password.
Step 5: After successfully logging in, look for Indian Army 2022 and click on “Apply”.
Step 6: A form will open asking for necessary details and documents. Fill in all the details and upload documents.
Step 7: Preview the form and submit it.
Step 8: Pay the application fee as mentioned for your category using any of the various payment methods available online.
Step 9: After completion of the application take printouts and save a copy of the form for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to appear for the selection round, an individual has to qualify through different criteria like educational, marital, nationality, physical and medical. All the details for every criterion are mentioned below:

Indian Army GD Educational Qualification 2022

The candidates need to have scored a minimum of 33 marks out of 100 in their core subjects in the 10th standard.
The candidate’s aggregate should sum up to a minimum of 45%.
The candidate's best 5 will be considered for all calculations.

Indian Army GD Nationality Criteria 2022

The Nationality criteria allows citizens from multiple nations to join the Indian Army. The description is provided below:

An Indian citizen
A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan
Tibetan refugee who has permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962.
An Indian refugee who immigrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently live in India.
The above-mentioned candidates need to show their nationality certificate issued by the Government of India, except for the Gorkha citizen of Nepal.

Exam Pattern

The question paper consists of a total of 50 questions.
Every question carries 2 marks. Thus, the total marks of the paper equal 100.
In order to clear the exam, the candidates must score 32 marks out of 100.
Every right answer consists of 02 marks.
For every wrong answer attempted, there is a negative marking of 0.5 marks.
For every unattempted question, no marks or penalty is applied.
There is an exception for candidates who have NCC ‘C’ Certificate. The candidates with the NCC ‘C’ Certificate need not appear in this examination.
