Eligibilty Criteria

JKSSB Class IV Educational Qualifications

The following are the minimum educational requirements for specific positions:

  • For Accounts Assistant Posts, candidates must have graduated from a recognized university in any stream with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for the general category and 45 percent for the reserved category.
  • For Class IV posts, candidates must have a 10th (Matriculation) or intermediate from a recognized Board.
  • Candidates must possess documentary evidence to support their claim of educational qualification.

JKSSB Class IV Eligibility Criteria: Domicile

  • According to announcements by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, through S.O 1229 (E) (dated 31st March 2020) and the General Administration Department, Government of J&K, vide S.O 166, the candidate must be a resident of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (dated 18th March 2020).
  • Only those candidates who are defined as "Migrants" in SRO 412 of 2009 or "Kashmiri Pandits" in SRO 425 of 2017 will be able to apply.

According to government guidelines, the age limit for various posts is as follows:

Exam Pattern

Only objective type, multiple choice questions are allowed in JKSSB tests, and they must be administered using an OMR system. There will be a negative marking scheme in the exam, with each incorrect answer deducting 0.25 points. The JKSSB exam pattern can be found here in detail.
