Eligibilty Criteria

The aspiring candidates must check the KPSC AE eligibility criteria before applying for the KPSC AE Recruitment 2022. The candidates must fulfil the KPSC AE eligibility criteria else their candidature stands cancelled. The KPSC AE Eligibility Criteria is discussed below in detail.

KPSC AE Eligibility: Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India in order to apply for the KPSC AE Recruitment 2022.

KPSC AE Eligibility: Age Limit

The candidate must be within the specific age limit as specified by the authorities. The minimum and maximum age limits for the post of KPSC Assistant Engineer are as follows:

  • Minimum Age Limit: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 35 Years

KPSC also offers age relaxation to various candidates from reserved categories. The age relaxation for the reserved category candidates is tabulated below:

KPSC AE Eligibility: Educational Qualification

The candidates must have the prescribed educational qualification in order to apply for the KPSC AE Recruitment 2022.

The candidate must have a degree (B.E./ B. Tech) in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a university recognized by the AICTE. The degrees that will be considered as equivalent to the above mentioned educational qualification are:

  • Construction Technology and Management
  • Building and Construction Technology
  • Civil Engineering and Planning
  • Civil Technology
  • Construction Technology
  • Construction Engineering and Management
  • Geo-Mechanics and Structures

  • Diploma granted by the Institution of Engineer (India), which certifies that the candidate has passed Parts A & B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology and Management Engineering

KPSC AE Eligibility: Ineligibility Criteria

The candidates will be considered ineligible in the following cases:

  • Male candidates involved in practicing polygamy.
  • Female candidates on account of marrying an already married male will be ineligible.
  • Any physical/mental disability of a candidate that may obstruct the official performance of responsible duties is not considered to be eligible.
Exam Pattern

The KPSC AE selection process involves two stages mainly- Written Exam and Interview. The candidates who will qualify for the KPSC AE Written Exam will be eligible to appear for the Interview.

The KPSC AE written exam will consist of two papers- General Paper and Specific Paper. The KPSC AE Exam will be objective-type in nature. Each question carries one mark with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. The medium of the KPSC AE Exam will be bilingual, i.e. both in Kannada and English languages.
