About
KPSC Chief Librarian Test is conducted every year by the Karnataka Public Service Commission. KPSC Chief Librarian test is done to determine the applicant’s knowledge in the field of library-specific duties. KPSC Chief Librarian notification is expected to be announced soon. Candidates applying for the KPSC Chief Librarian exam must have a PG degree in Library Science. The applicant should be between 18 years and 35 years of age. Exam Pattern
The KPSC Chief Librarian written exam has 2 papers of 200 marks each. The total time duration for the written exam is 3 hours and 15 minutes. Paper-I consists of questions from General Topics. Paper-II consists of questions from selected Professional Subjects. Both the papers are set with MCQs (multiple choice questions) each carrying 1 mark. A negative marking of 0.25 marks is deducted for each wrong answer marked by the candidates.

In this round the candidates are questioned on their professional knowledge of their position which they have to show and prove why they deem fit for this post.
Document Verification
Candidates who score more than the cut-off marks are directly shortlisted for this round. Others who are eligible for this round are the ones who pass through both the previous rounds- Written Exam and Personal Interview. In this round, the candidates’ documents are verified till the final recruitment is done. Failure to produce the required documents shall result in the disqualification of the candidate.
