Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates need to go through the official notification of KPSC Teacher recruitment 2022 to check the eligibility criteria. Generally, the eligibility criteria remain the same every year. Candidates must be an Indian citizen to apply for the exam. Hence, candidates can also go through the previous year’s eligibility criteria as well. The eligibility criteria consist of two divisions:

KPSC Teacher Educational Qualifications for Primary Teacher

  • Candidates must have passed 2-year D.El.Ed or senior secondary with minimum 50% marks
  • Candidates must have a B.Ed degree with 50% marks.
  • Qualified CTET or TET

KPSC Teacher Educational Qualifications for Graduate Teacher

  • Candidates must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks in the concerned subject with B.Ed/D.El.Ed/B.P.Ed/ equivalent from any recognized university (or)
  • Minimum 50% marks in Graduation with 1 year in B.Ed (or)
  • Minimum 50 % marks in Senior Secondary level with 4 years of B.El.Ed (or)
  • Qualified CTET or Karnataka TET

There is age relaxation for the backward categories:

Exam Pattern

The written examination will be conducted in two papers which are multiple-choice questions. Candidates will have to qualify both the papers to get selected for the Interview process:

  • Total marks of the written exam - 200
  • The total duration of the exam - 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Negative marking - 0.25 marks
  • Total marks in each paper – 100 marks

KPSC Teacher Personal Interview

Candidates qualifying the written examination will appear for the Interview. In the Interview, they will be tested on their subject knowledge, communication skills as well as on their basic general knowledge

Once the candidates are shortlisted, they will be called for document verification with their original copies. Candidates who will not be able to produce
