Eligibilty Criteria

The candidates who wish to pursue a career in the Karnataka Police Department must apply for the KSP Recruitment 2022. The candidates must check the eligibility criteria for various posts and designations before applying for the same. The eligibility criteria are discussed below in detail:

Eligibility Criteria for Armed Police Constable

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this post.
  • The candidate must have passed class 10th or equivalent from a recognized board or institution.
  • The General category candidates must be between the age of 18 years and 25 years.
  • Candidates in the SC/ST/CAT-01/2A/2B/3A/3B categories must be between the ages of 18 years and 27 years.
  • Candidates for the Tribal positions must be between the ages of 18 and 30.

Eligibility Criteria for Armed Police Sub Inspector- Armed RSI, SRSI, Sub Inspector, PSI Posts

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this post.
  • The candidate must be a Karnataka resident or have a Karnataka domicile certificate.
  • The candidate must be fluent in Kannada, both verbally and in writing.
  • Candidates must hold a three-year bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university or institution in any discipline.
  • Candidates in the General category must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.
  • Candidates in the SC, ST, CAT- 01, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, and CAT- 02 categories must be between the ages of 18 and 27.
  • The tribal students must be between the ages of 18 and 30.

Eligibility Criteria for Civil Police Constable

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidate must have completed their 12th grade or equivalent from a recognized board in any discipline.
  • The General category candidates must be between the ages of 19 years and 25 years old.
  • Candidates in the SC, ST, CAT- 01, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, and CAT- 02 categories must be between the ages of 19 years and 27 years.
  • Students from the Tribe must be between the ages of 19 years and 30 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Special Reserve Police Constable and Bandsmen

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • He must have received his tenth or equivalent from a recognized board or institution in any discipline.
  • Candidates in the General category must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.
  • Candidates from the SC, ST, or any other backward category must be between the ages of 18 and 27.
Exam Pattern

The aspirants for the various posts have to appear for a common written exam for the KSP Recruitment 2022 that includes two exams- Prelims and Mains. Then the selected candidates need to appear for the Physical Test with respect to their specific post.

KSP Recruitment 2022 Prelims Exam Pattern

  • The KSP Prelims exam consists of two papers with a total of 200 questions.
  • Both papers have a total duration of 90 minutes.
  • Both papers are worth a total of 200 marks.
  • The questions are both descriptive and objective.
  • For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted from the final marks

  • The duration of the exam is 90 minutes and carries 50 marks.

Syllabus
