About
Rajasthan Subordinate & Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) conducts the recruitment exam for the post of Lab Technician annually. A candidate who qualifies for this exam will get the post of Lab technician whose job profile is to maintain the technicalities as well as the administrative works of the lab slots assigned.

The recruitment body is yet to release an official notification regarding the RSMSSB application process.
Registration
Steps for apply:
- Visit the official website of RSMSSB: https://rsmssb.rajasthan.gov.in/
- Once the Home Page loads, navigate to the Careers Tab
- Click on the E-Recruitment link for RSMSSB Lab Technician
- Fill out your basic details and set a username and password. Make sure you take note of them since you will have to attempt logins for future purposes.
- Fill in all the necessary details such as name, and educational qualifications, and upload the necessary documents.
- Verify all the details and click on Submit.
- A registration slip that consists of all the basic information of the aspirant will be generated. Download and take a printout of the same.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification: The candidate must have completed the following educational levels:
- Must have completed their 12th Exams with PCM or PCB as their core subjects from a recognized Board.
- Must have a diploma in Medical Lab Technician from an institution recognized by State Government, Central Government, or Rajasthan Para Medical Council.
- Besides, the candidate must be well equipped with the Hindi language in Devanagari script and the culture and traditions of Rajasthan.
Age criteria
- Any candidate within the age range of 18-40 years can apply for the post of RSMSSB Lab Technician.
- Apart from the given specification, certain relaxations are provided for candidates belonging to different categories. They are provided in the table below:

Nationality: The candidate must fulfill the nationality criteria to apply for the post of RSMSSB Lab Technician. The candidate must be:
- A citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan or
- A Tibetan refugee who resides in India permanently from January 1 1962 or
- A person who is an Indian citizen but has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire & Ethiopia, or Vietnam and chooses to permanently reside in India.

Exam Pattern
The candidates applying for the exam must be well aware of the pattern for the RSMSSB Lab Technician exam. This helps in an efficient preparation for their upcoming exam. The basic details regarding the RSMSSB exam pattern for the Lab Technician post are mentioned below:
- The duration of the exam is 180 minutes or 3 hours and the paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions.
- The exam consists of 3 sections, namely- General Knowledge, General Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and Lab Technician course topics.
- The total number of questions which will be coming is 300 for a maximum of 300 marks i.e each question carries 1 mark.
- Negative marking: There is a negative marking scheme for this exam and 0.33 or (1/3) marks are deducted for every wrong attempt.
- The breakdown for the number of questions and marks allotted for each section is mentioned in the table below:
