SSC Scientific Assistant IMD Exam Education Qualification 2022

Candidates who wish to appear for SSC Scientific Assistant IMD Exam 2022 should have the following educational qualification:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or Science from a recognized institute.
  • The candidate can also have a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized institution with Physics as one of the key topics.
  • Candidates must have completed 10+2 with first-class grades from a recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.

SSC Scientific Assistant IMD Age Limit and Relaxation

The candidate appearing for SSC Scientific Assistant IMD Exam 2022 must be under the age of 30. Notably, the candidate's age as stated on his or her Xth admit card or passing certificate will be accepted. Relaxation is given at the upper age limit based on various rules and criteria. Exam Pattern

The selection for the Scientific Assistant will be done through a written exam that lasts two hours and has two parts. The exam is divided into two parts: Part I and Part II. The first half is devoted to general topics, while the second is devoted to professional knowledge. There are 200 questions overall, each worth one mark. Candidates must complete the paper in the time allotted. Check the details about the exam pattern below:

  • SSC Scientific Assistant exam is conducted through online mode.
  • Both sections have a total time limit of 2 hours in total.
  • In Part I, there are 4 sections with 25 questions in each section. There is one mark for each question in part I.
  • Part 2 is composed of 100 questions worth a total of 100 marks.
  • Negative marking will be applied to each incorrect answer in the amount of 0.25 marks.
Syllabus

There are two parts to the exam- Parts I and II. Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Grammar and Composition, and General Awareness are the sections of the first portion. Professional knowledge bases such as physics, electronics, and telecommunication are covered in the second section. The paper will be kept for two hours.
