Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates interested in taking the Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test (TTET) 2022 should review the TTET Eligibility Criteria 2022 before applying.

Primary Level Teachers Eligibility

  • Candidates must have completed Class 12 with a minimum score of 50% and a 1-year D.Ed. or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education before 2004-05. (D.El.Ed.)


  • With a minimum of 50% in the 12th grade and a four-year B.El.Ed.


  • Grade 12 completed with a minimum of 50% and a two-year D.Ed (Special Education)


  • Any graduate with a two-year D.El.Ed. (or a one-year D.Ed. up until 2004-05) (OR) a graduate with at least a 50% score and a B.Ed. the degree can apply.


  • Holder of a master's degree (according to the MHRD notification).

Upper Primary Level Teachers Eligibility

  • Up to 2004-05, a bachelor's degree plus a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) or a 1-year D.Ed.


  • Graduation with at least a 50% grade and a B.Ed. course


  • According to NCTE guidelines, a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45 percent and a B.Ed. program is required.


  • A minimum of 50% in Class 12 or Intermediate, as well as a four-year B.El.Ed.


  • Intermediate with a minimum of 50% marks and four years B.A.Ed./Bsc.Ed. (OR) Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed. (Special program) (OR) Intermediate with a minimum of 50% marks and four years B.A.Ed./Bsc.Ed.
Exam Pattern
  • Only multiple-choice questions will be asked.
  • Negative marking will not be allowed.
  • Only English and Bengali will be used in the questions (other than language Papers)

Subject Topics
Child Development The important topics that are covered in the Child Development and Pedagogy Section include child development and learning, the concept of inclusive education and understanding children with special needs, and Pedagogy and learning.
Language I- English Language comprehension, principles of teaching English, challenges of teaching English, communicative approach to English language teaching, framing questions including Wh-questions, comprehensive and continuous evaluation, unseen prose passage, development of language skills, teaching-learning materials, and teaching-learning materials are among the major topics covered in Language 1.
Language II – Bengali Basic knowledge of sounds and their phonetic transcription, unseen poem, methods of evaluation, remedial teaching, principles of teaching Bengali, challenges of teaching Bengali, communicative approach to Bengali language teaching, unseen prose passage and idioms, modal auxiliaries, phrasal verbs, and literary terms are all important concepts in Language II.
Mathematics Important concepts in mathematics are LCM and HCF, average, diagnostic and remedial teaching, the community of mathematics, mathematical operations, Indian currency, fractions, the language of mathematics, simple interest, evaluation methods, lines and angles, geometry, unitary method, arithmetic, numbers, place of mathematics in the curriculum, problems of teaching, profit-loss, geometry and mensuration, data handling, algebra, nature of mathematics/ logical thinking and error analysis and related aspects of teaching and learning.
Science The important topics under the Science section of Tripura Teacher Eligibility Test (TTET) 2022 are metal and non-metals, solar system, optics, electrostatics, sound, thermal physics, motion force, and pressure, pollution, agriculture and tools, ecosystem and natural resources, circulation and conduction, micro-organisms and activities, and food and nutrition.
History Civilization, Sixteenth Mahajanapada and the First Empire, Sultans of Delhi, Beginning of the Mughal Rule, The establishment of Company Power in India, The National Movement, India after Independence and Tribal Society and Festivals of India. S
Geography Atmosphere, The Solar System, Our Changing Earth Industry, Agriculture, Human Environment, Pollution, Disaster and Disaster Management, Physical Environment, Hydrosphere, Geomorphic Processes, Rocks, Interior of Earth, Globe-Latitudes and Longitudes and Forest Mineral and Power Resources of Tripura.
Diversity in Indian Society Society and Institutions, Unpacking Gender Inequality, Social Justice and the Marginalized, Human Rights, Understanding Media, Democracy, Government, Legislature, Executive, Judiciary, the Constitution of India, Parliamentary System of Government, Central Government, State Government, Local Self-Government in Tripura, Election Process in India.
Environmental Studies Approaches to presenting concepts, clothes, and habitats, environment education learning principles, and pedagogical concerns in environmental studies are all important topics in environmental studies.
