Eligibilty Criteria

The UBTER Staff Nurse Eligibility Criteria 2022 has not yet been released by the conducting body. Candidates can follow the eligibility criteria of the previous year i.e., 2021 until any official announcement is made. Candidates can rely on the last year’s eligibility criteria as hardly any changes are expected this year.

To sit for the UBTER Staff Nurse exam, the candidates must fulfill the following requirements. The eligibility criteria for this post have been defined in terms of education, age limit, nationality, and other relevant points.

UBTER Staff Nurse Educational Qualifications

  • The candidate must have completed B.Sc. (Hons) in Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing/ Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council-accredited institute.
  • The candidate should be registered at the Uttarakhand or the Indian Council of Nursing.
  • He/she must have a minimum of one year of working experience in a private hospital equipped with 30 beds licensed under a state hospital or clinic establishment.
  • The candidate should be proficient in the Hindi language.
  • Two years of territorial army service and a B/C NCC certificate are preferred.

UBTER Staff Nurse Age Limit

  • Candidates between the ages of 21 and 42 are only eligible for the UBTER Staff Nurse post.
  • The age will be determined on January 1,2021.
  • However, in the case of SC, ST, OBC, and many other categories, several relaxations are made in the upper age limit, which is notified by the government from time to time.

UBTER Staff Nurse Nationality

The applying candidate must be of Indian origin. However, candidates satisfying the below-mentioned criteria are also eligible:

  • Before January 01,1962, a Tibetan refugee migrated to India to settle permanently.
  • A person of Indian origin shifted permanently to India from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kenya, Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania.

    UBTER Staff Nurse Other Eligibility Criteria

    • The candidate must have a good disposition and be in sound mental and physical health.
    • Male candidates having more than one spouse cannot apply. In the same way female candidates who are married to an already married male are ineligible to apply.
Exam Pattern

Based on their performance in the written exam, the candidates will be selected. The candidates will also be rewarded marks based on their experience. The final merit list will be compiled based on the sum of both the marks secured in the written examination and rewarded based on the candidate’s year of experience.

The marking scheme based on the years of experience of the candidates is as follows:

UBTER Staff Nurse Paper-wise Exam Pattern 2022

The examination pattern for the UBTER Staff Nurse Exam 2022 is mentioned in the table below:

  • For each incorrect answer, a negative marking of ¼ or 0.25 marks will be provided.
  • The exam will include Objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • The exam will consist of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2 that will be conducted in a single shift and a booklet.
  • Paper 1 will be of graduate level and Paper 2 will be of Intermediate (Class 12th) level.
