Eligibilty Criteria

The candidates applying for the UJVNL Assistant Engineer 2022 need to pass the eligibility criteria. All the aspiring candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Engineer. The latest notification regarding eligibility criteria has not been released yet by UJVNL. The candidates can check the criteria of the previous year, as many changes are not expected to take place. Before applying, candidates need to make sure to fulfill these requirements in education, age, and nationality.

UJVNL AE Eligibility: Age Limit

The candidates aspiring to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer in UJVNL should fall between the eligible age in order to appear for the exam. The candidates should be of minimum age asked for his/her category while applying. Candidates belonging to reserved categories get certain age relaxation. The age limit is mentioned for all the categories in the table below:

UJVNL AE Eligibility: Educational Criteria

The UJVNL releases a number of vacancies for various posts. The eligibility criteria thus vary as per the post. Below educational criteria are mentioned for different posts.

UJVNL AE Eligibility: For Civil Engineer

  • Applicants should have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Candidates should have passed the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Exam (AIME) in both Sections A & B.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 55%, who belong from Unreserved /OBC and EWS categories.
  • Candidates who are already working for UJVN Limited must obtain at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the above branch of Engineering(Civil).
  • SC/ST category candidates must have achieved minimum passing marks or equivalent grades in the above branches of engineering.

UJVNL AE Eligibility: Mechanical Engineer

  • Applicants should have completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Candidates should have passed the Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers Exam (AIME) in both Section A & B.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 55%, who belong from Unreserved /OBC and EWS categories.
  • Candidates who are already working for UJVN Limited must secure a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in the above branch of Engineering(Civil)
  • Candidates belonging from SC/ST must have scored minimum passing marks or equivalent grades in the above branches of engineering.

UJVNL AE Eligibility: Domicile

As per the official notification announced by Uttarakhand Jal Vibhag Nigam Limited, candidates applying for UJVNL AE must be permanent resident of Uttarakhand. No relaxation of any kind is allowed or entertained for the candidates applying from any other state.

UJVNL AE Eligibility Criteria 2022: Number of Attempts

There is no restriction on UJVNL AE attempts. Candidates can apply as long as they meet the minimum age eligibility criteria.

Exam Pattern

Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited will upload the latest exam pattern for Assistant Engineer Exam on the official website. The candidates can check the exam pattern and weightage to prepare accordingly. The marking scheme is explained below. The candidates can check the table below to know about the exam pattern. The Assistant Engineering Exam is conducted in two phases- Written Test and Interview. Both the levels are detailed below-

UJVNL AE Exam Pattern: Written Test

The first phase of the Assistant Engineering exam is a written test. Other details are mentioned below:

  • The exam will be organized in offline mode.
  • The exam paper is set in two sections, containing 126 and 50 marks respectively. The first set is of 126 marks containing questions about the concerned subject. The second set consists of questions from- Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, and General Knowledge.
  • Every question carries one mark.
  • For every incorrect answer, candidates will lose 0.25 marks.
  • The exam is objective in nature. Students are supposed to fill in answers in the OMR sheets and submit them.
  • The exam total consists of 176 questions to be completed in 3 hours.

UJVNL AE Exam Pattern: Interview

The second and last round for selection in Assistant Engineer 2022 is the Interview round. The candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the Interview round. The Interview round holds a weightage of 24 marks.
