Eligibilty Criteria

To apply for the position of Police Constable, aspirants must meet the Uttarakhand Police Constable Eligibility Criteria. The age, education, residency, and physical qualifying requirements are all specified.

Uttarakhand Police Constable Education Qualification

  • The applicant must have completed an intermediate or equivalent examination accredited by the Uttarakhand School Education Council, Ramnagar Nainital.
  • The minimal educational requirement for ex-servicemen should be an intermediate test or equivalent.

Uttarakhand Police Constable Age Limit

  • Minimum Age- 18 years
  • Maximum Age- 25 years

The maximum age limit in Uttarakhand has been relaxed for the reserved groups.

Uttarakhand Police Constable Physical Eligibility

To pass the first stage of the selection process, the Physical Standard Test, applicants must fulfill the following physical requirements (PST).

Uttarakhand Police Constable Nationality

The candidate must be either

  • citizen of India
  • Tibetan refugees who migrated before 01.01.1962
  • an Indian origin person from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania,
Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for the Uttarakhand Police Constable recruitment 2022 is given below.

UK Police Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Pattern

Candidates who pass the Physical Efficiency Test must also pass the Physical Standard Test (PET). All of the tasks must be completed with a score of at least 50%.

Uttarakhand Police Constable Written Test

The written test for UK Police Constables follows the following format.

  • The test will consist of multiple-choice questions.
  • The exam will have a total of 100 marks.
  • There will be one question paper covering General Knowledge, General Studies (unique to Uttarakhand), and General Hindi questions.
  • Each question will be for one mark.
  • For each incorrect response, 1/4th of the mark of that question will be deducted.
  • The duration of the paper shall be 2 hours.
