Situated on the National Highway (NH-58),College of Engineering Roorkee (COER) is a private engineering college that was established in 1998 under the aegis of Seth Roshan Lal Trust. It is affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University and is approved by the AICTE. COER was awarded the “Best Engineering College of Uttarakhand” award in Uttarakhand Educators Summit, 2019. It was also awarded as 3.5 Stars by the MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC) in 2019. Currently, it offers degree, lateral and diploma programmes to the students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level in the field of Engineering. All the courses are aimed to groom the students for their eminent careers.Currently, the college offers two courses in the fields of Engineering. Admission to the courses is conducted in online mode through the official website of the college. Candidates, who meet the course-wise eligibility criteria, can register themselves. The course-specific details regarding COER admissions are mentioned below: BTech admissions are granted based on JEE Main score, however, for admission to BTech Lateral Entry (LE) programme, students are required to appear for UKSEE For admission to MTech programme, candidates must have a valid score in GATE. The applicants, who have not appeared for GATE exam, will have to take the college-based entrance test COER diploma admission is based on the merit obtained in Class 10 examsThe library has an audio-visual section with color TV and DVD along with more than 1800 CDs, DVDs in related professional areas of growth and development. In reference section of the library, dictionaries, encyclopedias project reports, syllabus, research/conference papers, general books, question papers of Uttarakhand Technical University are available.The library also provides facilities of Book Bank for students.
