Eligibilty Criteria

Candidates are required to read the details about MAT eligibility criteria 2022 before filling the application form. Given below are the eligibility criteria that the candidate should adhere to to qualify for MAT 2022.

Academic Qualification
Candidates must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university
Candidates who hold a professional degree such as CA, CS, or ICWA are eligible to apply for MAT entrance exam
Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are eligible to apply for MAT 2022 exam
Age Limit

No upper age limit specified by AIMA to appear for MAT 2022.

Minimum Marks

No minimum percentage specified for taking the exam. However, every institute has its own minimum percentage requirement for admission.

In the case of grades or CGPA, the percentage of marks calculation will be based on a procedure certified by the respective Institute in accordance with the participating management institute’s eligibility criteria.
Number of Attempts No bar on the number of attempts for MAT exam, thus the candidate can take the examination as many times as they want till they succeed.
Work Experience No minimum work experience required for taking MAT 2022.
Exam Pattern

AIMA conducts the MAT exam in both online mode and offline modes. Candidates can select the mode at their convenience. Knowing the MAT exam pattern 2022 is a must before appearing for the exam. As per the exam pattern of MAT 2022, the exam will have a total of 200 objective-type questions (multiple choice questions) divided into five sections –

  • Language Comprehension
  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
  • Data Analysis and Sufficiency
  • Mathematical Skills
  • Indian and Global Environment

The duration of the exam is of 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes). Each section has 40 questions and each question carries 1 mark. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Candidates are advised to strategize their preparation as per the exam pattern of MAT 2022. It will allow them to score better in the exam.
