The Defense Research and Development Organization DRDO is a leading organisation of India, which has more than fifty laboratories throughout the country. It works for developing defence technologies covering various disciplines such as aeronautics, armaments, electronics, combat vehicles, engineering systems etc.
The DRDO MTS 2022 examination has attracted lakhs of students across the country applying for the exam to work in the defence sector in several entry-level positions.
Latest Notification
DRDO Notification has been issued in September 2022. The application process will commence in September 2022, and the last date to submit the DRDO application form for 2022 was extended till the last day of October.
Registration
The candidates aspiring for the MTS posts can apply for the DRDO Exam through an online process. Exam application process is in online mode. Candidates can apply through the official website. The steps to apply for the DRDO MTS exam are provided below.
Step 1: Click here or visit the exam official website www.drdo.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the important announcements or Careers sections for the DRDO application form
Step 3: Click on the registration button provided on the homepage and complete your registration process.
Step 4: After completing the registration process, credentials will be sent to your email id
Step 5: login to the form using your module credentials
Step 6: Fill in the application form and proceed with all the mandatory documents.
Step 7: Submit all the documents in scan format and upload them to the application page.
Step 8: Submit your application fees online through any payment options available.
Step 9: Complete the payment of application and save a soft copy of the application form along with the fee payment receipt for further references.
Eligibility Criteria
It is important to check the eligibility before applying for the DRDO MTS Exam. Here, we have provided complete details about the DRDO MTS Eligibility criteria. The applicants must have the prescribed educational qualifications and must fulfill the age criteria to apply for the DRDO Exam.
DRDO MTS Eligibility: Age Limit
The candidate applying for the DRDO MTS Exam 2022 must fulfil the age criteria as per the official notification. The age limit criteria have been provided below.
- Candidates applying for Multi Tasking Staff must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and their maximum age should not be above 25 years.
- The relaxation of the upper age limit will be offered to the reserved category candidates.
DRDO MTS Eligibility: Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must have completed their matriculation degree from any recognized board or have completed their Industrial Training Institute ( ITI) degree.
Application Fee
The students must pay the required application fees to complete their application process. The DRDO MTS 2022 Application Fees for various categories are provided below.;

Exam Pattern
The DRDO MTS is conducted on two tiers: Tier I and II. Students have to clear the tier I as well as the tier II examination for the final selection. The students who qualify in the Tier-I are shortlisted for the next Tier-II level and the final selection will be done on a merit list.
DRDO MTS Tier I Exam
The TIer-I exam is conducted on a Computer based method and it will be based on objective type questions. The total duration of the exam is one hour 30 minutes and the paper is available in both English and Hindi language. For each correct answer one mark is awarded and no negative marking for incorrect answer.
The exam pattern of Tier-I is given below:
