About
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is the state agency in charge of administering the Civil Services Examination for entry-level positions in Odisha's various civil services. The roles and functions of the OPCS Commission are segmented into different categories including:
- The commission is responsible for laying new recruitment rules and amendments regarding recruitment and conditions of service of Group 'B' posts/services.
- They are responsible for offering advice relating to the promotion of officers and fixation of inter-seniority, etc.
- The commission appoints candidates for different posts available in Group 'B' jobs.

- 29 June, 2022 : OPSC AHO Exam Schedule 2021 Released
- 18 June, 2022 : India Post GDS 2022: Result Released For Odisha Region.
OPSC AHO exam schedule 2021 has been released on the official website-opsc.gov.in. The written exam will be held on July 24, 2022 (Sunday). The admit card will be released soon on the OPSC website. The candidates would be able to download the admit card from the OPSC login page.
Registration
The following steps can be kept in mind while filling the application form: Refer to the official website and click on the link related to the latest notifications.
- Start the registration process.
- Fill up the application form by providing all the required information.
- Upload all the required documents in the prescribed format while applying.
- Pay the application fees and submit the form.
Application Fee
- The candidates appearing for these exams need to pay a non-refundable amount of INR 500.
- SC/ ST candidates of Odisha and persons having 40% disability don’t need to pay the application fee.
Exam Pattern
The OPSC exam consists of 3 stages and the students need to qualify for all three stages such as Prelims, Mains and Interview. Here is the exam pattern for the OPSC Prelims and Mains:
Stage1: OPSC Prelims Exam
The preliminary exam of OPSC consists of 2 papers, including MCQ types of questions. The duration of both the papers is 2 hours each. the candidates must get a minimum of 33% in Paper-II else their Paper I will not be evaluated.

Stage 2: OPSC Mains Exam
The mains exam consists of 5 compulsory subjects and 4 optional papers/out of which the candidate has to select 2 optional papers. The subjects are mentioned below:
- Odia language
- English
- English essay
- General studies (2 pacers)
- Two optional subjects
The exam patterns for the above subject is:

Stage 3: OPSC Interview
Those who qualify for the mains examination as per the cutoff decided will be called for a personality test or interview. A total of 250 marks are allotted for the personality test.
This round is included to judge the below-mentioned traits of the candidates:
- Intellectual qualities
- Social traits
- Current affairs
- Intellectual and moral integrity etc.
The final list of selected candidates will be prepared based on the overall marks achieved in the Mains examination and personality test.
