Staff Selection Commission is a recruitment body under Govt. of India responsible for conducting recruitment for various posts along with Multi Tasking Staff (MTS), Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts in the Central Government Ministries/Offices/Departments in the various States/UTs. SSC is solely responsible to conduct the examinations starting from conducting examinations, candidate evaluation, question paper setting, and result publication to handling posting of successful candidates. SSC MTS is a recruitment examination that is conducted in two phases- Paper-I & Paper-II.

Registration

Steps to Apply for SSC MTS 2022 Exam:

The steps to apply for the SSC MTS exam are provided below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of SSC i.e., http://ssc.nic.in once the commission publishes the date of the online application.
Step 2: Under the important announcements, click the SSC MTS 2022 link.
Step 3: Click on new registration and complete the registration process.
Step 4: Candidates will receive the registration number and password on your mail-id.
Step 5: Log in using your credential and click on apply now.
Step 6: Complete the application form by filling in personal details like the candidate’s name, father’s name, and date of birth along with educational qualification details.
Step 7: Next upload a scanned passport size photograph and signature in JPG format in the prescribed dimension and size to avoid rejection of the application.
Step 8: Proceed with the application fee payment process by using Net Banking or through a Debit/Credit Card.
Step 9: After successful fee payment, save a soft copy of the application form along with the fee payment receipt for future references.

Eligibility Criteria

SSC MTS Age Limits

The candidate applying for the SSC MTS 2022 Exam must fulfill the age criteria as per the official notification. The age criteria are provided below.

The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years.
The maximum age limit to apply for the post of SSC MTS should be 25 years old as of August 1, 2022.
The date of birth mentioned in the Matriculation certificate or equivalent exam will be considered for age calculation.
Relaxations in the upper age limit are provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved category.

Candidates must have passed Matriculation or class X from a recognized board/ institution to apply for the post of SSC MTS 2022.

Exam Pattern

The SSC MTS Exam 2022 will consist of two papers viz. Paper-I & Paper-II. Paper-I will be a multiple-choice question while Paper-II would be a descriptive type. Paper-I will be a computer-based test consisting of 100 questions of 100 marks and of 90 minutes duration.

On the other hand, Paper II will be of 50 marks descriptive type questions to be completed within 30 minutes. For each incorrect attempt, 0.25 mark would be deducted.
