The Training and Placement Cell of SOA mainly focuses on three aspects of a career such as guiding the students for Placement and subsequent careers, Higher Education and Entrepreneurship. The cell takes care of the holistic development of students with three inclusive activities such as Career Mentoring in form of continuous guidance and Profiling of Students, Aptitude Training, Reasoning Skills, Enhancing Functional Subject Knowledge, General Awareness, Industry Orientation, Soft Skills, Group Discussion and Personal Interview Skills.
Around 30 percent of these students have received job offers during the Day Zero dream campus drive involving reputed companies with Amazon proffering the highest package of INR 30 LPA with the average annual salary received by the students being INR 6.3 LPA. The companies who have picked up these students include Microsoft, Amazon, Finastra, Robert Bosch, Dell, PWC, Kloudgin, Deloitte, HP Inc, Temenos, Informatica, MAQ Software, NPCI, Salesforce and Rapyuta Robotics. Despite the pandemic, most of the students have also received multiple job offers. The remaining around 55 percent of the students have received offers from reputed MNCs and Day-1 and Day-2 recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, DXC, Capgemini, Hexaware, HCL, NIIT Technologies, Infogain, Tudip Technologies, V-Construct, L&T Technologies, NCC, Global Edge and several others.The eligibility criteria for the course was stated in a simplified manner. A student must have secured atleast 70% in 12th boards. And then based on the percentile scored in jee exams or SAAT exam, we were given an option to select the branch of our choice. We had an option to chose 3 branches of our choice based on our preferences, most liked to be the first choice. Details regarding application form, fees, and application dates were mentioned clearly on their website. There was no Application fee for their SAAT exam though. The college has also provided us with options to avail scholarships based on our 10th and 12th boards percentage.
