SRM University, Sonepat, also referred to as SRMU, is a private university that is a part of the SRM Group of Institutions. SRMU was established under the Haryana Private Universities Act, 2013.The group also includes other state universities: SRM University-Sikkim and SRM University-Amravati in addition to SRM Institute of Science and Technology, which is a deemed university headquartered in Chennai. This University offers a wide range of UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes across various fields such as Engineering, Commerce, Management, Accounting, Computers & IT, Law, Hotel & Hospitality, Science and Arts. These courses are offered via the seven departments that are housed at the Sonepat campus. Admission to a majority of the courses is subject to SRM University Delhi-NCR Sonepat Haryana Common Aptitude Test (SRMHCAT) conducted by the University.
