The genesis of IIHMR University dates to October 5, 1984, when the Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) was established. IIHMR University has been established and incorporated as a postgraduate research university by the Government of Rajasthan vide the IIHMR University, Jaipur Act, 2014 (Act No. 3, of 2014). IIHMR University is UGC recognized, NAAC accredited and ranked 73rd NIRF 2021 (Management). IIHMR University has a unique organizational culture that enshrines core values and ethos of autonomy, accountability, openness, and transparency. The multi-disciplinary teams of faculty representing public health, management, economics, statistics, demography, social and behavioural sciences, constitute an enabling environment for learning, professional growth and development. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India identified the university as an ‘Institute of Excellence’ for its significant contribution in training and capacity building.
Summer training is a compulsory course for the two-year MBA programme (HM, PM & DM). Each student on the course is expected to work in industry for a period of 8 weeks during the summer months of April and June, after completing the first year of the academic programme.
The summer training aims to give students the opportunity to apply the management concepts learned during the first year to a live project to better understand and analyse real-world business problems. The training also serves to give students a taste of the industry in which they are working, which will guide them through their long-term career path as well as how companies operate and help candidates make decisions in a more relaxed environment.
IIHMR University has announced Shri PD Agarwal Scholarships of INR 1 lakh to meritorious students and freeships for SC/ST/OBC & EWS students. Scholarships for the students for the academic session of 2021- 2023. IIHMR University known as a premier healthcare institution has announced the grant of Shri PD Agarwal Scholarships and Freeships for the meritorious students applying for MBA Hospital and Health Management, Digital Health, Pharmaceutical Management, Rural Management and Development Management programs.
Dr. P.R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University said, “The decision of IIHMR University to offer scholarships to meritorious students is a landmark initiative in higher education that will invest in the future of young and aspiring candidates. We have also announced tuition fee waivers to prospective students based on academic merit by allowing Free-ship to the deserving & underprivileged students.”

Declarations: The University reserves the right to add, withdraw or modify any of the criteria, amount and count for all scholarship details mentioned above at any time. The decision of the University will be final regarding the award of scholarship to the deserving candidates. The Academic Department of the University will maintain the records related to the grant of scholarships
The IIHMR University, Jaipur shall also consider providing financial aid to merit holders as well as needy students. This scholarship which will be equivalent to 30% of the second-year tuition fee, will be granted to each student on a need-cum-merit basis. The following broad criteria will be considered for the selection of such financial assistance: Total number of scholarships available: 10
Total number of Fellowships available: Two. The amount allocated is INR 2 lacs. The IIHMR University, Jaipur also announces PD Agarwal fellowships each amounting to INR 1, 00,000. One fellowship will be awarded to the best Ph. D. scholar whose published work and the Ph.D. thesis is of superior quality and the other one to a 2nd-year student of other academic courses of the University who exhibits not only excellent scholarly achievements but sets an example for her/his character, and commitment to the common good cause. The student selected for this fellowship should maintain good conduct throughout the period of study. The fellow must have a potential for leadership, and the ability to play the role of a catalyst in whatever domain she/he chooses. There will be no application for such fellowship, but the members of the committee constituted for this purpose will keep track of academic, other activities and initiatives of the Ph.D. scholars/second-year students of the program. Each member of the committee will identify one candidate and after due deliberations on the requisites of this fellowship, the head of the committee will recommend two students for this fellowship. The announcement of the fellowship will be made before January 31 and the scholarship will be awarded on the day of the convocation program. General Procedures for Grant of Scholarships/Fellowships:
