About

National Institute of Design (NID) Bengaluru was established in March 2006. NID was declared as the ‘Institute of National Importance’ in 2014 by the National Institute Design Act 2014 by the Parliament. The main domains which are taught here are Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Master of Design (M.Des), and Doctor of Philosophy in Design. The institute has a dedicated placement cell for the placement process in the campus and the activities which are required for its development.
To get admission in the National Institute of Design, a candidate has to clear a Design Aptitude Test done with two levels: Mains and Prelims. The students have to clear the minimum eligibility criteria to be able to get admission in the institute. Courses are well structured with a lot of emphases given on practical skills along with theoretical knowledge.

What's new at NID Bengaluru 2023?

NID Bangalore Admission 2024 is ongoing. Admission to BDes and MDes programs will be granted on the basis of National Institute of Design, Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) scores. The NID DAT 2024 registrations are open and the application deadline is December 01 (Without late fees) and December 03 (With late Fees). The admit card for DAT Pre will be released on December 12 and the DAT Prelims 2024 will be conducted on December 24, 2023.
